There are really no pedals required. Having a good amp, turning the tone knob down half way and the volume is probably also a little rolled of. The strings are also important. He probably uses halfround or flatwound strings which most jazzers use.
The more I listen to johnathan the more he sounds like a rock guitarist. Very horizontal movement in his soloing not much vertical. Very western taught piano approach.
The best contemporary jazz guitar tone - great band and superb playing. Oh, and a mighty piece.
Superb!!! Thanks for sharing.
ahhhh! I want to run through the city proclaiming Kreisberg's divinity after watching this!
Clean and nice guitarsound, harmonically intricate, nice swinging, very good musicians, exciting improvisations - What's not to like?
Definitely one my favorite guitarists that I have discovered in recent years! Excellent modern jazz (in the current sense).
Typing Jonathan Kreisberg in the search bar brought me here.
Angry Hand job o

You ever think the band goes, "Hey, why don't we just do a basic rendition of 'Smoke on the Water and for the encore 'Back in Black'"?
I think people are stunned. I know I am.
I dont know if you play, but guitar face just happens to some people. I do it in my room alone and on stage. It isn't conscious

any ideas which pedals were used in achieving this ultimate sound?
