    Look at the bright side; atleast everything won't go to waste.

    Liteyears: "Can you buy the Elemental Metals?"
    Xritsken: "I guarantee you can."
    Then where's the button next to the Elemental Metal counter that takes you to buy more?

    Counter point to your editor's point about Elemental Metals near the end: Bugfrags in Battle Network. That is all.

      I'm not actually sure what that is, To be fair It's been a very long time since I played Battle Network, so if you could give me a quick reminder about what it is?

      @@xritsken9555 I'm just going to copy it from the Megaman Wikia:
      Starting with the second game, and to the end of the series, Bug Frags are also used as an alternate form of currency, as various 'BugFrag Traders' appear in the game. Chips and programs sold by these traders are usually rarer in value than those sold by standard merchants, though they are often in an out-of-the-way location, often dealing with possibly unscrupulous characters and the Undernet.
      TLDR: An alternate, harder to obtain form of currency.

      @xritsken9555 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nickkelley9139 IF they do that, then that would be a great alternative.
      While I still believe that the ultimate goal of Capcom is to gain a profit from people who are willing to dive into a game that will no longer be updated, but holds a lot of popularity.
      I will be happy and pleasantly willing to admit I was wrong when proven wrong by the game.

    I’m thinking it might be a one time purchase thing without any micro transactions. Have to wait and see honestly.

      Not gonna joke, I did spend actual money on that game before I realized It was stupid to do that .
      But my thoughts actually come from the fact that Capcom is a corporation, and Money will always come first from a corporation.
      Along with the fact they have to pay fees to the App Stores to have their game on said app stores.
      I'm not exactly Salty, but more so rightfully concerned this is a cash grab with no return value because they see it as a way to get a quick buck from people silly enough to continue playing the game.
      (Note: The Silly people would be from their POV, You do you if you want to play it personally)

      @@xritsken9555I mean if you spend money on an app it should definitely be money your willing to burn for no long term benefit. I honestly understand being salty a bit but you gotta understand the way these games work and know if you do or dont want to support it. If it is what the majority of people say it is, which is a one time purchase of game to be able to have all characters and items for the most part unlocked and just be able to play single player stages then I consider it a good thing. Sure it burns people who invested in the game already and it for sure is a way to get more longevity out of a dying game but me and many other people will get some benefit being able to an enjoy something that we wouldn't have tried to otherwise.

    • @xritsken9555
      @xritsken9555 ปีที่แล้ว

      @UBemLie I'm not salty is what I'm saying. I know it was my choice to spend the money.
      I'm telling you guys it comes from a place of corporate need to make money.
      As I said in the video they have to pay fees for the appstore to put stuff on said store. Do they plan to just burn money to let people have this without monetizing it?
      Unlikely. You will either have to buy it for a set price or they will make money off purchases in game.

      @@xritsken9555 very true, thats not even a bad thing, people need to get paid for the jobs that they do. People personally just dont like the free to play model as its either gotta pay more than what the game is worth or wait unreasonable amount of time to get the full game experience. Set prices I'll support without regret

    Thing is though if the game didn’t make any money then they wouldn’t have even bothered with making an offline version plus I like the idea of game allowing you to play as almost anyone you want from the entire franchise even the net Navi version of Bass who was never playable before until now alongside many other characters.
    Lastly preserving the game is a good thing and I’m always up for games being supported for offline play especially in this day and age where half the time they try to force people to play online even when there are those that simply don’t want to also the currency is just zenny and metals, all those tokens and other currencies are completely gone also it’s not rotate since it’s offline they give us the option to change the events whenever we want without being connected to the internet.
    The only thing they would do is charge us to buy the game itself which is understandable since i don’t think anyone was expecting this version to be free anyways.

    They probably are shutting down X Dive cause then they wont have to pay to maintain the server, but keep it the game running offline so players can more or less still invest their time and money on it like normal.
    It's such an obvious cash grab... Yet, I honestly prefer it that way. Assuming it's still gonna be a free to play game where you can get the rare metals via daily missions, it means we can keep having that X game playing around.
    Only way it could become more perfect, is if people started to incorporate mods, both to unlock the crossover stuff that won't be enabled in the base offline game, along with possibly stuff Capcom never included in X-Dive's original run.

    • @xritsken9555
      @xritsken9555 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I feel it wont be free in some way because they can't have it on appstore without paying a fee to the appstore owners.
      So unless they plan on just burning the fee out of their own pockets with no return, which I don't see any company doing let alone Capcom, I think they will monetize it someway. Either by there being a cash store for the ems or it being buy 2 play.

      Was thinking they could have kept the micro transactions with the game itself being free to play... But judging how this offline version seems to make every none crossover character accessible via the in game shop, and removed every icon associated with the gacha, it seems more likely that they will make it pay to play.

    You editor's reactions feel completely unhinged. I dunno why a guy who doesn't understand the game is trying to make huge takes vs you who already can see what its probably gonna be.

    • @liteyearsx
      @liteyearsx  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally don't mind the polarizing take. It's not far-fetched to imagine the game will be monetized through an in-game cash shop. Just based on the information we have right now, I don't see it as the case.

      A one time fee is all I can expect. I think 20 bucks is ok.

    • @xritsken9555
      @xritsken9555 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @jeanziegler1080 you clearly don't know that people have to pay to put things on the appstore of android and apple phones.
      It won't be free. Unless you have the insanely crazy idea that Capcom will just burn those appstore fees out of their own pocket.
      I understand the game very well and I also understand how corporations work in this world and it's not a case of "oh we want to be nice and give you something for free at the cost of our own money."
      Anyone who thinks that way is unhinged and delusional.
      If you had actually listened to the video instead of jumping into the comments section you'd of heard I actually was arguing sgainst it being completely free. Even if it's a one time pay of 20 bucks it still means I'm right in the end that they are monetizing it.
      So going by that I don't think my concerns are "unhinged".

    • @jeanziegler1080
      @jeanziegler1080 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@xritsken9555 I never said it would be free. You kept egging on the entire time that there'd be paid content when in the video itself there was no store of any kind to access. Even steam purchases on the side would not apply, as the mobile version of Offline isn't going to be adding "add money" buttons in game if the steam version isn't already.
      You also act like they won't just take down the game itself after a while on the phone stores once they realize it isn't profitable. It's only added there for convenience and cash grab, but that doesn't change that all info right now points to ZERO microtransactions in game.
      If you understand the game so well, why would any actual active veteran TW players such as your friend and myself be able to tell these things so easily while you sat there dooming the entire time about it?
      It won't succeed or do anything negative to the franchise, it's a 100% good thing that it's being kept around in ANY form at all. Even if you think no one wants to play this, there are 9 other people to your 1 who wanted this and WILL. It being on store fronts and even trying is fine. There is no reason to act like this affects you in any way, you can't take an announcement of a game you didn't want as a personal attack.
