They always say that blending with acrylics is very difficult. You have proved them wrong for sure. I do it all the time and this video enhances that ability even further for me.
I struggled doing the dry brush blend and could not figure out how you were getting that airbrush look... I discovered today that the brush has to be damp to create blend!!! Thanks Tom!! i have multiple of your painting videos that you sell and I recommend viewers to purchase some of these videos... I have numerous magazines and books on how to paint and these videos cover everything, wish I had these videos 5 yrs ago when I started..
Thanks very much Brian. You are right, “dry brush” is a bit of a misnomer. It should be “damp brush” blending. 😁. I’m glad my painting videos have been helpful too!
Very well explained Tom. Thanks. In keeping with this, how about a demo on how to paint the wrinkles in feathers such as the tertial feathers found in a drake mallard.
Blending and scrubbing are so important, especially with acrylics.Thank you.
Thanks for taking the time to drop me a note! Much appreciated.
One by one, these videos are lightening all the dark eras about my decoy painting, I can not thank you enough TC. 🙏 That poor shoveler though! 😊🦆👋🏻
The shoveler will be reference for future carvings Baha. It was over quickly! 😁

It does take some practice but very doable, I agree. Thanks!

Thanks! Great suggestion. Will plan on adding that when I get the chance.
Great video Tom. Well explained. Your exhibit bird would make one heck of a mount.
