Beautiful! Hope you got a premium price for it! Definitely worth $1000 because of its brand, spanking unfired condition! Bought a 1/1955 in excellent condition for about $450 which I considered a very fair price as it was dismantled, cleaned & serviced to like new condition! Have my eye on a 1954 (Metal Bottom) but since it was the first year manufactured, still willing to add to my collection! Am bidding up to $500 on Saturday. Hope you got your house restored! Prayers & blessing's from Texas!🇺🇸✝️
Thanks. The buyer who got this has a very extensive collection. I have about 3 lanterns and 3 stoves that are all users. It was time for me to use it or sell it. Using a pristine 60 year old collector piece just seemed wrong. I got a fair price and I am putting the money into more outdoor gear and videos. Win win for both of us.
It was hard to get info from Coleman because of how old it was. Collectors who know more than me helped out. I adopted if out to a guy who is a serious collector. I'm a user and I wanted this to go to someone who appreciated its uniqueness.
Thanks for watching. White gas (Coleman fuel) is the worst choice. Burns clean but pricey around $13 a gallon here. Unleaded ethanol free gas is 2nd choice. Kerosene doesn't burn as bright and doesn't light quite as easily.
Just read my response. Should have said white gas is first, not worst, choice. I have been running ethanol free unleaded in my lanterns for about a year and it does fine.

Stunning lantern, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. It is now with a new owner in N.Y.
Thanks for watching. It now has a new home with a serious collector
Great lantern! Shame that Coleman stopped making those and we don’t have a lot of them in Europe. They look beautiful.
It is an old classic.
Thanks for watching.
Found one at an estate sale,it cleaned up nicely, but not a mint one you are lucky…
I had a love it but never use it relationship. Figured it was better with a collection, and I'd use the money for my channel.
I got one like this but different name engraved. How did you find the information of these presentation lantern?
