I have so much respect for the fact that even though so much of his active addiction is on camera he doesn’t hide or make excuses. He acknowledges the past, and moves forward. That’s admirable. That’s strength.

I have some similar stories from when I used to drink and man am I glad steve-o helped show me a way to get sober.

I’m still utterly amazed how much Steve-O has turned his life around, he looks great, looks happier and he’s living the best life, and all his videos are always super fascinating whenever he reflects on his life or how he used to be. He’s still absolutely insane but it’s the good kind of insane, Steve-O’s just awesome

I definitely learn from Steve-O... It's easy to watch and choose what not to do but it's almost impossible to grow without it happening. I'm adopting the attitude of live and learn, don't be ashamed. I am who I am. Ive done a lot of cringe shit and finally learned how to get in front of it if it happens or not let it happen. It's hard to know before you know.

if steveo isnt the hardest evidence against humans being naturally evil idk what is. every time steveo delves into his past and points out ways he was being an asshole it makes me remember that *literally anyone* can change, no matter where theyve been. and it really gives me hope for my self and the world. its an amazing lesson in not only humility, but humanity, that steveo is giving us in these videos where he reflects on his past. steveo may not be a perfect man (no man is) but he admits that and works to better himself and thats as close to perfect as a man can get. keep on being an inspiration steveo!

What amazes me most about Steve O is how he's managed to find and keep the amazing people who have stuck by him.
It's one thing to abuse codependently, drugbuddies come and go like the wind at times.
But it takes genuine love to sit someone down, tell them some heartbreaking truths and then stick with them through to better times.
That's something most people won't ever find outside their family or married life.
And man am I glad they saw what was underneath the skin of this literal lunatic, because he's a genuinely beautiful person.
In the end he's provided us with so much laughter.
More importantly if you relate to the old Steve O in any way whether it's just the need for attention, disregard fir your own life, drug abuse and however else you could possibly categorize the insane stuff he's been up to, he's a beacon of hope, not just because he got better, but because he found genuine purpose and self-actualization.
It's one thing to see a before and after if someone who got sober, but seeing them get sober and also truly happy about their life instead of being happy only because they're sober hits deep.
However dark it is people like him makes you realize that getting better is a genuine possibility, I feel like when I get out of this it won't be because I force myself to quit and then just learn to not do drugs, but in the end, if I keep trying I will find something in life that I genuinely value more than getting high and staying high

I was thinking that exact same thing.. Honestly the more I watch him the less I like him. Sure he's got a good message and all that, but he's really like a spoiled rich kid who never grew up with zero self awareness aside from being in LA/Hollywood. Even the videos feel more like a giant advertisement than quality material now.

You know Steve ever since you got sober except recently lol which was needed, the way you are really motivated me years ago to change my life and get sober as well. I also seek growth from your words and the fact you say you don't want to show things but you will for us. Means a lot and is something I do but when I speak of my past. I am not ashamed I believe in growth. Some plateau their minds from growth but people like you and I we keep growing.

I won't lie Steve O I wasn't a die hard fan as a kid. But found you again after you got right and made this amazing podcast.
