The E,W, & F album that took Maurice White's vision to its maximum was "All 'N All." It's one of those albums that deserves to be heard in its entirety, it was seamless and a group at the absolute height of their musical powers. The arrangements on it are breathtaking.

During this time period I was a rocker through and through; didn't like many other genres of music. Hated disco! But there were 2 groups I recall from this time that even the rockers liked and respected: Earth, Wind, and Fire and Tower of Power. Really glad I'm more open to different types of music now but still have a soft spot for those two groups.

Earth, Wind, and Fire...FIERCE!!! Music for grown folk! I'm an old lady now, but these guys were the absolute best at that bluesy, funky mix back in the day...still are, in my opinion. And, nobody does a love song like EWF!

This song came out while I was going through a divorce - it came on the radio and I had to pull over and cry.
It's really hard to convey how lit this was....I am 74 now so this was me in my prime and OMG I partied so hard it's a wonder I didn't get hurt 😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
I hear this and I am so grateful to have lived my best life when this music was a matter of fact. The horn section was a whole planet of their own. Oh yes they were! Thank you God for the bad ass Kenwood system I had with the speakers tipped back and up on pedestals...I cranked it till the woofers were visible....it was the serious sh*t!!!!!

The horns are arranged by Jerry Hey who has played for hundreds of artists. Nobody gets it as precise and sharp as jerry
I don't know what year this is but it was on the radio constantly. It was a slow song for Earth, Wind & Fire but it just goes to show that there was tremendous variety in their songs.

Ahhh the days gone by when you could go to a concert and they sounded as good or better than the record. Sure wish we would go back to the days when talent was celebrated and it didn't depend on what an artist looked like. When Demographics took place of talent, music sure did take a bad hit. Back in the day there was no auto-tune, it was pure God given talent. As always fantastic video.
