After the first cut i was smiling :D turned out pretty good. "Glad it worked"
The steel tube was a 42,4x2mm (1 1/4 ) tube, the Aluminum template was a 50x3mm Tube.
Ok.... you have to build for every tube and angle that you need a template but than you can use it hundreds times :)
The 45° angle it allmost the last angle that you can cut on the Welding Turn Table! After that the plasma cutting torch is not able to go back and forth without stucking and jumping on the template! Thats why I put a little bit grease on it. Probably there must be another suport to push the torch back...another story!
P.s: Also you are able to build a template for just straight cuts or certain angles, up to you :)
And if you liked it don't forgot to give me a thump up - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
We are stuck in 2020 while this guy is living it up in 3000. What a king ! 👑
Thank you for that nice comment 😅
Great idea! make the patterns double ended for more angles and put a spacer on the torch tip to get a little stand off so you don't burn up tips too fast.
I watch A LOT of TH-cam videos and come across many great projects/ideas. This ranks at the top! Not only is it a genius idea, but seems fairly simple to make. Rarely do the two go together. Now….to make your motorized chuck.

Who gives a "thumbs down" to a video like this? Its genius. Great job!
Thank you 😊
Малодец мужик. арегинально.просто и повторяемасть деталей по шаблону.хорошую идею кинул.хоть и для других задач.красавчик.
Sir you are very cleaver and have a problem solving inventive brain better than most. I think you deserve a pillar drill. 👍
Thank you 😁
For notching tubes? 🤔
Dude, you outdid yourself again, this is so awesome! Love the creativity and the solutions. Smart and efficient. Thanks for taking the time to film this and sharing it with us!
Thank you 😊 ... you are welcome 😁
This is my first Metalist exposure. I've ranking you in personal top 3 favorites with Kwando and Urchfab.
Thank you 😊 nice 😁👍🏻
Work smarter, not harder.
These are the type of videos I like, no Stupid intros, no begging to subscribe and like the video. just good old information.
way better than i was expecting and a bit cheaper than 60k+ cnc pipe cutters... i need to make one!
great alternative to hole saws, thanks for sharing !!!
very impressive, thank you for sharing your ideas with us
I have always wanted to make a CNC one. Super cool execution! Great work.
Thank you 😊
Ideia genial! Irei fazer um igual! gratidão!!
Pure genius. Everything you do it amazing
Thank you 😊
Very cool idea that could be adapted for many applications there hand holding a torch even with a guide isn't good enough. Going to have to search out the build of the rotary fixture. My issue with this is the time and effort put into the build isn't worth it in most applications. I could see this as being helpful for garage production runs depending on what the parts are being used for. I'm also not a fan of plasma cut notchers in general. They don't really save much time. You can't properly weld those joints without cleaning up ALL of the dross and plasma cut edges. The traditional drill powered notcher is slower to cut but there is very little cleanup. Plus the adjustability can't be beat by anything close to affordable. Awesome video. Awesome idea. Keep being creative because even though I don't see this as being very practical I absolutely got something out of it.
Great enginuity, not just the craftsmanship but video itself.
Thank you 😁
Very clever. Your creative mind is endless in what you can visualize. Thanks for sharing. Joel......
Thank you 😊
I agree with DVC, Absolutely genius! Man you have a serious gift! Thanks for the how to. Now mabey I can build my son that gokart.

Simple, cheap, adaptable. I like it.
Thank you 😊
Making the ally tube double ended Eg: 60 one end 45 the opposite end 90 and 75 on another piece use wing nuts instead of Phillips head screws . Cheers from a old toolmaker in Australia .
That a good idea angles on both sides😁 I just had them screws in the shop 😅
@@TheMetalist Thanks for the positive feedback I have yet to fire up my plasma welder .Not sure if it works upside down here in Australia .
This man is a wizard 🧙♂️ love the content my friend
Thank you 🙂
Cool, I’m subscribed all the way from Cape Town, thanks for showing me more uses for my plasma machine
Hi 👋 you are welcome 😊
Brilliant build! Clever idea, Thanks!
Thank you 😊
ты головой, работаешь не хуже чем руками! молодец! I like it
Thank you 😁👍🏻
No practical reason for me to watch this video ....but def watched whole thing ....ingenious
Amazing, thanks!
That is a really clever idea, I like it.
Thank you 😊
Richtig gut! Perfekt wenn man mehrere gleiche Teile schnell fertigen will! 😃🤙🏻😎
Dankeschön, ja wenn man nur ein Rohr ausklinken will dann wär der Aufwand schon extrem 😂
Smart and works well 👍🏻 I'm about to make one myself but how do you do when you have a bent tube?
SIMPLICITY IS THE "KEY" BUT IT GOES GREAT ALONG A DASH OF IMAGINATION. OUR FRIEND HERE "THE METALIST" IS ALSO A "MENTALIST" WHICH NOMINATES HIM TO BE ONE OF THE "MEDALISTS"!!. GREAT DOINGS & THANKS FOR SHARING.
Thank you for that nice comment 😁👍🏻
That's pretty slick
Well done. You are giving me ideas man.
Nicely done ✅👍

Thank you 😁
Wow..now thats really cool..very smart thinking..great video
Thank you 😁
Brilliant 👌🙏

I wondered wtf you were doing when you started welding hinges together, now I'm impressed! people pay thousands for automatic pipe cutting machines, this is a genius little set up, well done
This is very clever, well done
Thank you 😊
Thank you!
BRILLIANT!!
That's badass.
Genius!
That's awesome!
What a goddm genius!
whoa that's neat, so with a quiet plasma cutter and compressor, I can get rid of my saw. I hate cutting notches.
Absolutely awesome 👍
Thank you 😊
Wow that works perfectly... very cool
Thank you 😊
Dats cheatin'! I'm making one this weekend. I love you.
Nice 👍🏻Thank you 😊
Brilliant 😍
Wow badass
Try chalk dust as a form of lubricant at the end of the template tube. Won't melt during cutting if doing multiple cuts.
Thanks for the tip 👍🏻
Tu es un petit génie et un malin !Bien joué ,à mon avis tu dois mal dormir la nuit, bref le cerveau est toujours en mouvement !Fait gaffe, parfois faut débrancher !🤔🙄😂👍
Thank you 😁
¡Muy bueno!👍🏽
Great idea! I’d just say engineer a way to use a stand off, or see if a regular stand off will work. burn up a lot of tips with it just flat against the metal like that.
Thank you 😊👍🏻
@@TheMetalist I know this is a little late, but they make a sort of training wheel for plasma cutters to keep the tip away if your doing it on something like a positioner
Amazing
this is great for hand rails. however only one end can be cut and the length is limited with out roller v blocks. but worth the effort if one does a lot of rails.
Great idea!
Thank you 😊
Idea worth million dollar❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍
This video was in my recommendations. Liked and subscribed.

1:50 Use a piece of smaller angle bar to get lines parallel to center axis.
Very good idea, great job 😊
Thank you 😁
You are not of this planet! Amazing brain you got there! How do u come up w this stuff?! Your like the slash of real metal
Thank you 😊
Your welcome! So much fun to watch u make this stuff
Use "wing" bolts instead of phillips screws, easier.
Yes thats right have to Order some, i just had them in my shop 😅
