I am a fellow American. My (British) boyfriend turned me on to Top Gear a few weeks ago.. I've been watching everything I can on TH-cam since then since I don't get BBC America. I guess I'm odd.. female, and American and LOVE Jeremy and the show in general. It's brilliant!
I think clarkson is a legend. He's down to earth on and off the tv. I saw him in birmingham airport once and he really looked pissed off from the attention he was receiving lol

No...the sun is heating up because it IS star, it goes through cycles. It is half way through it's life, it has a long time to go before it starts to cool down permanently. However you are right about the other things.
well the south pole...thats a good example. the south pole is the only pole that has land under it...the ice is on top. if the ice melts then where will it go? i know ice takes up more surface area than liquid water but when the ice is on land then where does the water go? it goes into the ocean and seeing as the ice wasnt already in the ocean, the water added to the sea will make sea levels rise. hope that helps =) sea levels have been slowly rising.

why do yew think the G8 meeting was such a big deal to people? trees getting cut down means less carbon dioxide is being taken away from the atmosphere. carbon dioxide in the atmosphere means that more heat is getting trapped on earth which means more ice melts which means some cities, by the time all the ice in the world has melted, will be submerged by water such as london and new york (note how these cities are next to the sea or river).
