That is what I remember about the mongoose gang... but some poetic licenses was taken with the slang... same way Eugena Charles of Dominica was a "yard fowl" and Ragan was a "cowboy". Our Politicians were great orators. Remember first it was the "Green Beast?" But that name was not as sensational as "Mongoose Gang."
He is missing the point about the nickname he and his buddies were called, but he is sort of correct. Mongoose Gang was like a social group of blue-colour, unruly buddies who were extremely loyal to Gairy. They had access to Gairy and spied on anti-Gairy citizens. They were protected by corrupt police Gairy loyalists who ignored this group’s terrorizing ways of physically hurting opponents of Gairy. “History” is a funny and strange subject; there are so many sides to a story.😮

This guy might be the last man standing byt he will never say thebtruth of what really happened. He made it seem as if they were talsely accused however there is no smoke without fire! There has been many acvounts of the alkeged atrocities committed by the Mongoose gang. So were there two different groups operating under the same name?
