Miss Lori, I am almost 82. Today I am sitting at my kitchen table with my iPad and tea and it feels like you are right here with me as you put away your dishes and then stop and talk, just feels like you are right here. Thank you for visiting with me today. I have lost two husbands and a son. One husband when we were 42 died of a massive heart attack. Then our 41 year old son died the same way and he was only 41. Then my dear second husband died in 2010 of cancer. I still have a daughter and granddaughter and I am blessed. I am enjoying my life. I don’t travel but I do enjoy people like you on You tube. Some pain but I don’t dwell on that. Many struggles, but I thank the Lord each morning for how He blesses me. Sending many blessings to you and Mr. Brown. ❤😊
God bless you and keep you. I'm sure glad you have the ability to keep some company with. Miss Lori and some others. Many people are age are just left alone too much and need someone to visit.
Miss Lori, I am 57 and I work as a cook in an assisted living facility (I watch you to get ideas on what to make) but I wanted to tell you: we have 12 residents and the YOUNGEST one is 96, THREE of them are 103 years old!!! And they walk and work puzzles and participate in the physical activities and laugh and have a good time! I just wanted to thank you for sharing your experience and time with me. XOXO
God is good to us all. I lost my husband in 2015. Miss him more and more every day. I’m 72 and have some medical issues but dealing with them. Still live alone and can and freeze all I can. God bless us all.
Well....!!! My weekend just got a wonderful start. A morning with a warm cup of coffee, and Miss Lori and her zinnias, gentle and sweet music, and the company of this lovely community. I love my time with all of you... and I love hearing what you all have to say.
i loved this video. i am 64 now and happy and content i may not have everything the jones have but thats ok i just dont need it all. i have no clue when the good lord is going to call me home but what time i have left here on this earth i will do my best to be happy in each day. i also been fighting cancer for 7 years and on top of that i have heart failure for better than 20 years. yet the good Lord keeps me here. be blessed
Lady i am 76,and you have spoke the truth.I grew up hard, then later in life i had the best, then, one day i realized keeping up with the jones,so to speak was not important..My life changed when i learned to like and love me and i found God..I am so blessed now, I live now very frugal
As long as I can pay my bills, put food on the table, and make sure my health insurance is up to date I am happy. As long as my family is close and healthy I am happy. My grandchildren are my joy. God has given me a contented life.
Beautiful, Miss Lori. I agree with your thoughts, and feel the same. I might have those things (huge house, a car in every garage, handsful of diamonds) and I'd be richer, perhaps, but not any happier. You are blessed, surrounded by things you have rescued and made beautiful again. And we love y'all so much❣️
Thank you sooo much Mrs. Lori and Mr. Brown for sharing your comfortable home and your life journeys with us! I just love you all! I feel like we're neighbors and close friends! I love ALL your videos! I'm going to be 70 at the end of this year but honestly I've learned so much more about cooking and gardening skills just by watching you all! You bless us by sharing your faith in our precious Lord as well. God bless you both!! Hugs!
Did I tell you? I stopped by the Brown place. Oh, they are always so welcoming and down home. Miss Lori shared a bit of what they've been up to. We looked at some of her beautiful flowers. She shared some some of her dreams about retirement. And I was lucky enough to get another of her scrumptious recipes! Just before I left, Mr. Brown come in and sang an old holler tune! I so enjoy my visits with the Browns.
Loved the video, supper looked delicious, one of those hot rolls would have been good with it. Mr. Brown , you need to sing to us more often.i really enjoyed that. Have a good day!
Oh my goodness Miss Lori you have no idea how much I appreciate these kind of videos I am a person who lives alone and your chats are like going to a friend's house to visit thank you so much for your kind and wise words love mr. Brown song he should sing to us more often
Ms Lori , i couldn’t agree with you more about not being focused on things that are temporary. Enjoy your kids and grandkids. Don’t worry about getting older just live with thankful heart. ❤️
This is one of my favorite videos of yours, a little bit of everything, all very interesting and informative! Mr. Brown is a good singer, enjoyed it too. :)
Today I woke up feeling a little under the weather and your video has sure brightened my day! Spending some time with you, three great recipes and a song from Mr Brown. Life doesn't get better than that!
Thank you, Miss Lori, for this video. I've had a busy week caring for others and getting my fall gardening done before cold weather hits my area of northeast Ohio. I'm 77 years old, and I don't feel depressed since I am thankful for each day the Lord has given me. This is nice just to sit and relax, have my cup of tea, and watch you work with your beautiful flowers and just visit with you. ❤
Mrs.Lori Thank you for the talk, I love visiting with y'all. I love how you inspire and remind us always be thankful. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤❤❤❤
Seeing Zinna's in your garden brought back memories of my grandmother in Alabama that would have a bed of flowers in either side of the front of her house every year. I remember Zinnas and lantana. I can't remember the names of the rest. I would pick the lantana and use them as bouquets for my Barbie dolls. This was back in the 60's and sorely miss staying with my grandparents every summer when school was out. My grandfather would take me down to the Flint River and we'd catch a mess of fish, come back home and clean them, then I help my granny cook them. Great memories. It's amazing how our memories are triggered by something as beautiful as a flower.
I so enjoyed this video! Hearing your story Miss Lori and how you felt and feel was so sweet! I understand that because thats how I feel. I'm almost 68 and I'm comfortable and happy! I don't have much and ain't never had fancy or alot of new stuff but I have the Lord and my Family and I love them more than anything! Jesus knows my heart and how he's first in Everything I do and then my Children, Grandkids, and Great Grandbabies! Then I have all the rest of my family! My home is just a little mountain home stuck back in the woods and hills of southern Appalachia in N Ga. Thats all I need and want! My health ain't to good but the Lord keeps me and thats all I need. I wrote down your Recipe and hopefully my Daughter will help me make some Hot Rolls. I love them! Thank you Mr Brown for your song! I absolutely loved hearing you sang! I loved this video so much! Have a Great Weekend you two! Pray for Israel as they were attacked this Morning by Hamas! People are dying and being kidnapped and held Hostage! They are at War! Keep Israel in your Prayers! God Bless. 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏
You have NO idea how much I needed your video today. Your words of encouragement were just what I needed to hear. It's been a rough year for me and I can't thank you enough!
You and mr. Brown or so blessed y'all have each other what more could you ask for and I can tell that's what you realize y'all have each other and you have a darling home and I'm like you I love to go to the thrift stores and flea markets it's a lot of fun when you find the awesome stuff
Hi Ms. Lori, I so enjoys your video today. Im coming up on 60 next week. I really needed to hear your view. Been kinda down but you raised me up. I Thank you for that. Many blessing to you both. Enjoy every day!💕😊
I’m feeling the years creeping by too!! We don’t have a lot longer to do a few things for ourselves and enjoy what we might want to and there are flea markets out there I’ve never seen yet !! 😂 Time is passing so very quickly now and my heart longs for the reunion too
You will REALLY enjoy retirement! It's a big adjustment, but believe me, it's great! I pray that God continues to bless you and even more so. You will be, with the values that you have. So glad you got to raise your children the way you needed and wanted to. There's your true treasure!
Sis, you are speaking my language, talking about what is really important. I turned 60 in January. We’ve been together 31 years and I have mostly stayed at home. That’s what we decided before we got married. Our daughter lives in southeast Missouri and they are building a home that is just over 9,000 square feet. Yes!! 9,000! We are trying to get moved down there too. I want a little pole barn house 😆 I’m learning to live with less. That’s what is important to us now. Been enjoying your videos for years. Our values are the same. God and family ♥️
Everything you said is how I feel. I don't need the best of everything, happy with used stuff and happy. I came from a large family and I always had to wash dishes. I would never use a dish washer if I had one! Your home has love ❤️. I think you are so beautiful inside and out! Love you a lot! You are the best!
Miss Lori I just sipped a cup of hot tea and snacked on spice cookies watching your video. Thank you for another wonderful recipe, got the kitchen talk, and for just being you. Mr. Brown, you have an incredible voice! Sad song but sure made me smile. God Bless you both❤️
Miss Lori what a very thoughtful video this is. I always learn a lot from you and so appreciative of the time you put into these videos. It brings me a lot of peace and happiness. Mr. Brown you have a lovely singing voice and I enjoyed the song so much. I can just imagine the smiles you get from your grandkids when they hear it. 🤗🥰 Thank you for sharing.
Bless you Miss Lori. This is the most real and heartfelt video I have seen in years. Felt like I was visiting you at your house. Thank you. I just turned 70 and think so much like you. Love and Hugs.💕
Do a flea market videos once a week with how you find items to buy items you purchase for how much and for what use!!! Purpose and what made you wanted it. Enjoyed the fresh cut flower mixture segment. God bless you Ms. Lori
I just love how you make us part of your day, as you do the normal “stuff” and have us with you. As many have said, there are lots of us who live alone. It is so nice to keep company with you like this.
😂 I love it. Mr. Brown has a good singing voice. tell him he’s not as bad as he said he was😂 I love your channel so much. I always look forward to seeing you and Mr. Brown and hearing your stories and seeing your recipes. take care. 😃Donna Cooper😃
Your flowers are beautiful. I really love the feeling that I get watching your videos. It's like being at your house, just sitting and visiting with you while you cook and wash dishes and show off your treasures. You will love retirement. I do, despite a health problem that started last month. I see my third doctor about it on the 16th. This one will be a specialist so I hope this can be resolved. I really want to get back outside and plant some flowers. Tell Mr. Brown to keep up the singing. He's really good. God Bless You!
Miss Lori, you are so precious and loving. I absolutely love to listen to you and your talk’s that you share. Your wisdom of so many things warms my heart. I’m 69 yrs old and I have learned so much from you. I truly appreciate you sharing so many recipes, mixes of making spice’s and the outdoors gardening and growing food. You are a blessing to me and I’m sure, many others 💕🙏🙏

I just LOVE that old song Mr. Brown sang! Reminds me of going to my Grandpa's house back in the country when I was growing up. Sing us another one Mr. Brown ... please!!!
I truly enjoyed your video today! It felt like I was with family visiting. I'm older than you but feel like I am with my momma and older sister. I also do dishes by hand & the warm water feels good on my arthritis, but it is a slow living approach I enjoy. Mr Brown's singing was an unexpected joy. Bless you both 🕊❤🙋♀️
Good Afternoon Ms.Lori ! So Very Blessed to be able to watch you today! Your Flowers are so Beautiful! As they say you have a Wonderful Green Thumb in your Flowers! And Super Taste in you Wonderful Recipes! As a Very Happy Fan of yours! I try to watch the videos as soon as I see one! Thank you for Showing all of us for what you are dojng and hearing Mr.Brown for the Wonderful reading of Gods words❤
Hi Miss Lori: I always look forward to your new videos, I just love seeing you in your cute little kitchen! I am 66 and was an RN for 22 years. I retired early to take care of my Mom who then passed away 5 years ago. I just lost my only sibling, my dear sister Cindi, only 2 months ago. It was totally unexpected and sudden and it really gutted me. She was my best friend and the last person in my immediate family, other than my daughter, who lives in Italy with her military husband. It is very easy to become depressed and down, but I thank the Lord that I have my amazing daughter, several very supportive friends and wonderful neighbors. I also find joy and strength in sewing and crocheting for several charities. I know no matter how bad things seem, there is always someone else who is in worse shape and less fortunate than me. Sending love to you and Mr. Brown
Yes, I’ve been depressed lately. I’ll be 60 in January. And our kids have their own place, and I miss them being here. I miss them being little. My husband a I are just waiting on some grandchildren. BTW, your hair looks pretty in that updo!😁
Your home is so inviting. Thank you for coming on and sharing. Yes. We lived in a house in Kansas for 2 years that had a dishwasher. Our oldest daughter was in high school and she showed me how to use it. I said thank you and never used one again. Still don’t use one. Happy washing my own dishes. Have a good weekend.
I love your cooking video but l really love your videos of just puttering around the house doing daily chores! Love to see your decor for each seasons..lm old school..nothing wrong with that😊❤
Hi miss lori been so busy I need to get that letter written to you I haven't forgotten also thank you for the tip on fresh cut flowers my husband buys me fresh flowers weekly this tip will keep them longer
You are absolutely correct about the 20's and 30's . I am more content and desire a more simpler life than what I did in my 20's and 30's. I am perfectly happy just staying home and working around the house and in my garden.
Lovely video this morning ❤ Your flowers are beautiful and what a great way to help them stay around a little longer. I can smell your dinner and wish I was I there to enjoying it with you all. Thank you Mr Brown for your sweet little song 😊. Miss Lori I’m anxious to make your pantry bread mix. Would it be possible for to share the cook book with all the recipes? I’m turning 71 next week and still working. Being busy keeps me going 😂. Blessing❤
My sister was a florist. She would take the flowers and cut the bottom of the stems off. If they have a woody stem she would smash it too. Then they last, but you do need to change the water daily and about every 3 days trim the stems again. I’ve had my grocery store cut flowers last 2-3 weeks depending on the flowers. I will try your mixture. I might could keep them a month 💕. I love cut flowers so much.
Lovely flowers from your garden! That's a great mix for preserving! Thank you. I thought you would like to know one key element to preserving fresh cut flowers. I did work at a florist shop and loved it. I learned to always make a fresh angle cut on all flowers under water before placing in a vase. You'll see a little bubble in the water. That's the flower stem releasing air and taking in the fresh water. When you make you preserving water mix, make a little extra and put it in a measuring cup to cut the flower stems before putting them in the vase. I always wait a little bit after I see that bubble to give time for the flower to "suck up" the water. It truly works. LOVE all your videos and check daily for new ones. God bless and protect you and your loved ones in Jesus' name Amen.
I loved visiting with you this morning! What a treat. ❤❤❤ I had to smile at Mr Brown's song. My dad played the quitar and sang all the time to us as children and to his grandchildren. Their favorite song was "I Love my Rooster 'neath the Cottonwood Tree", that dodadedodade doodle do made us all laugh so hard! I miss my daddy every day. ❤
I've been bringing zinnias in too, thank you for these tips, will give it a try! Your table looks so beautiful just like you always do! I enjoy your video visits SO much! Wishing you and Mr. Brown a blessed day ❤
Thanks for the tip on the cut flowers. I used to make a bulk mix that I could use for pancakes, waffles, and biscuits. It was great when the kids were little and to take camping! Thanks for the song, Mr, Brown!
Ms. Lori you are rich!! You've got the Lord!!! I asked my Momma why so many other people had so much and they weren't Christians. My husband and I served the Lord and were raising our children in church. She told me that those people were in their Heaven. We would be in God's Heaven one day. Now, I look back and see how God blessed us and is blessing us every day. I wouldn't exchange those struggles for it made me look to the Father and as His daughter, He gave me and our family everything we needed. Praying for you and Mr. Brown. God is good all the time.
Thank you hon! Been making some of your mixes. Saves me time and helps me stay away from the bio engineered nightmare foods. Love Mr. Brown's singing. Just beautiful!
Miss Lori, I will be 69 years old. I love watching your videos. You have taught me how to make bread, cinnamon rolls. I also make your taco seasoning. I agree with you about not stressing a lot. I am happy in life as well. My husband and I are happy, and try to be a blessing to others. I love you and Mr. Brown.
We just celebrated my stepmom’s life. She was 93 and lived a full life, up until the last 2 weeks of her life. My father is 95 and still has a very active social life! Age is just a number!❤️🇨🇦🙏

So it sounds like you and I are so much the same in so many ways. I just love listening to you about you and your family. I’m hoping to retire soon as well, in my early 60’s and looking forward to being a homebody, Mamaw and housewife and homemaker. Cook, quilt, garden… sounds blissful! Oh and I’m fairly new to your channel. I’ve been watching and listening to your videos from the beginning. I think I must have listened to half a dozen or more yesterday. Today I’ve got sweet potatoes to dig and laundry. Have a wonderful weekend!
I’m 64 plan on retiring next year I’m like you just want to relax and enjoy home life a while I’ve been working since I was 14 pray God’s blessings on you❤

Love the recipe, but I really love Mr. Brown's singing and voice!
I just love how you make us part of your day, as you do the normal “stuff” and have us with you. As many have said, there are lots of us who live alone. It is so nice to keep company with you like this.
Same here. Said perfectly!

You're my favorite couple on YT. I love your recipes and everything about the two of you. God is good all the time. God bless you and keep you. ❤🙏
Enjoyed Everything Miss Lori & Got to try that Roll mix. Mr. Brown Loved The Song. God Bless and Take Care. I LOVE YOU BOTH!! Mo

Brown
Prayers for strength and comfort
Yes, I’ve been depressed lately. I’ll be 60 in January. And our kids have their own place, and I miss them being here. I miss them being little. My husband a I are just waiting on some grandchildren. BTW, your hair looks pretty in that updo!😁
Thank you for sharing such a needed perspective with the world. People need to really hear and understand what is important in life!
You know the sayin, cannot judge a book by its cover, and that is a very very true statement..I learn to love people and accept the good and bad
Mrs Lorie I never thought that way, coming up.
Your soap box words were especially encouraging today. Thank-you!
You are absolutely correct about the 20's and 30's . I am more content and desire a more simpler life than what I did in my 20's and 30's. I am perfectly happy just staying home and working around the house and in my garden.
I’m in my 30s and disabled with autism, and I’m glad I escaped the rat race and burnout and am embracing a simpler life at home.
I just use my dishwasher for canning jars and as a drying rack lol😂❤❤❤
Those flowers 🌸 are beautiful, so many different colors and shapes ❤
Good Morning Ms Lori. God makes plants so beautiful nice to keep them that way for a while. God Bless ♥️
I am so thankful to wake up every day, I'm 67 and I love life!

I love watching you work in your beautiful kitchen
Thank you for being such a blessing and inspiration. God bless you and yours.
Very inspirational talk. You make a difference sometimes when you least expect it. The children will remember your kind words.
Thank you
Thanks for the tip on the cut flowers.
Thanks for the info on cut flowers. I am going to make some of that Hot Roll mix, that is great!
