  • Finally! After multiple trips to the trig point on the Blue Rag Range, I'm finally doing the trip all the way to the very end where it meets the Wongungarra River!
    If you've wondered what the track is like after the trig point, and like me you've heard horror stories of clay and un-driveable sections watch this video and see if it's like that now...

    spot on , on your information. I have a 30-year-old government map and your information about the track from blue rag range (mid point) to Wongugarra river no longer exists, from the river to Mount Murray is an MVO and is still there. spot on👌

    Great video. I've ridden the dirt bike up to the trig point and back, but heard stories it's pretty hard going over the other side. This is a great perspective. How much gnarlier is it over the b ack side?

    • @OffTheBeatenPathAus
      @OffTheBeatenPathAus  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wouldn't say it's a lot more gnarlier, would be treacherous if wet as there's a bit of clay in sections towards the bottom but really it's no more difficult than the early section with some great views.

    Thanks for the great video. This is the second track I’m considering for my Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Have you seen any Jeeps up along here ? Any specific type pressures or low range requirements?

    • @OffTheBeatenPathAus
      @OffTheBeatenPathAus  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Tracks like this in the high country I default to 25PSI, you will definitely need low range some sections are pretty steep. I've seen plenty of Jeep Wranglers up there. Haven't ever seen a cherokee but doesn't mean they don't go there. They probably do. Only one section on one of the big climbs that generally has wombat holes but your traction control should get you through, just watch your line choice.

    Is Blue Rag accessible without a lift kit in your vehicle? Have t put one in yet and would like to do this track.

    • @OffTheBeatenPathAus
      @OffTheBeatenPathAus  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey mate, I'd say yes, but you would need to pay attention to your line choice, there's a couple of climbs with wombat holes that you wouldn't want to get wrong without some clearance, but then if your vehicles fairly modern with traction control, unlikely to be an issue.
