    I see your one post is mounted where there is a crack in the concrete. Was that an issue at all? I have the same size crack where I want to install a post lift.

      My slab is 8 inches thick , recommended that you don’t core directly over a crack. Try to stay within 3-5 inches in either direction of a crack

    Max 150” back of base plate to back of base plate. 120” from inside of base plate to inside

    • @joeknows496
      @joeknows496  ปีที่แล้ว

      EA & NAT says 120” C-C. So do several others . Redline says 150” outside baseplate. I would double check that . I checked 4 sources before installation

      The math of back to back and inside to inside checks out. And I wouldn’t be able to lift my vette without it being spaced at least 147” back to back.

    • @joeknows496
      @joeknows496  ปีที่แล้ว

      How does the math check out ? @150” outside/outside , puts you out an additional 15.5” making your center/center 135” or 11’-3”. Curious where u got 150” max outside ?

    How did you determine what width to set your posts at??? P.s. great vid..

    • @joeknows496
      @joeknows496  ปีที่แล้ว

      Per installation instructions. You may have to source these on your own. Mine did not come with instructions. I checked 4 different vendors for that max width because that’s a crucial measurement. All were at 120” center/center. Except redline which states max at 150” outside baseplates. I don’t see 150” outside baseplates being an issue until you approach max capacity . Personally, if I was to go 150” outside baseplates I would de-rate the max capacity by 1k and I would use wedge anchors vs drop in . Good luck

    P!ssa video Joe - great tips, direct and to the point. I live in Colorado now and miss correct F word usage as only someone from New England can. How did you move it / get it into your garage? I am looking at having it put in my 8' bed pickup, then lifting with an engine crane rated for 1000lbs at full extension. Shop is 30 x 40 - so plan to drive the truck onto the smooth floor, then lift and roll the crane with one piece at a time. Backup is rent something...

      The posts are not that heavy. U should be able to stand them up right out of the bed . I used a small trailer. And just slid them off and stood them up .
