Brilliant coastline for surf! I spent 3 weeks surfing all the beaches there this summer and loved every second! Came back a broken man from the amount of hours I surfed that holiday.
Great vlog!…the look on Jordan’s face, her eyes, when you took a bite of that “chocolate filled danish” it was, dude, your gonna share that with me right?..like can I have a bite before you demolish it 😂…thumbs up 👍🏻to the “Grave Digger” t-shirt & your barrel rides, good stuff man!
Been to France 3 times, live next to it in Belgium. Just started surfing last year. When i arrived last year for the second trip i couldn't believe what i saw. 8 foot waves 21sec/per. rolling in like freight trains.. i went in that for fun... took a wave but then the swell got even bigger. This in Brittany 800km from where i live. I thought you'd have to travel over 2000km to see this. Aaaaand, it's a very charming country.
@@pedrolito862 I never knew waves could carry so much power. Our waves here in Belgium are lazy. I've been in waves little over 2m and they are fun waves.. totally not scary. But taking on these waves in France was something else. No place for a beginner on those heavy days.
Surfed there for a week on a road trip. Waves are sick there! Walking past all the vans and that weird toilet in the car park brought back some memories of a great week of surfing there!
Dude! you gotta go down to Mundaka while you're there and Zarauts too, for right handers. I've done the trip 3 times and it was always awesome. You really can't loose in the Basque region.
Good food too..Bayonne ham..Basque cakes. Cheeses...Awesome seafood...Sangria..Topless chicks on the beach...I would live in Biarritz if I had the money.
I always love it when people converse or interact with Ben and don't know who he is. I never get enough of happy, smiling Jordan! JT on the job, nailing it!😎🩵
Landifornia dude ! A little bit rainy 😅😅😅 but fucking good. I surfed this swell coz I live there now. Duckdiving is something special here when you're used to surf reef and point breaks. Tidal stuff is something too... but the power here, it's amazing !
I would think waking on that beach would be very moving! They are not forgotten! Glad you got some fine waves in the end. Great to see Kale too - always watch his work too especial surf skating.
I'm jealous as, this is the time to go to France, really from mid September onwards, winter swells are epic, then Spain and then Portugal, you caught some gooduns. What about you get a board shaped down there? You get local knowledge and you add your riding style and need to the design then you get the best of both worlds.
... Deep in the Shack at 14:09 - Well Done... Like the song right here also, "Wasted" - sad story of my youth. (Out of the Water, at least). Sometimes "In" - (sadder still i suppose). Lovin' the scenery here; heard so much about France Surfing, never really saw what it might look like. Those concrete bunkers in the surf-line covered with Graffiti are surreal, for sure. Testament to man-kinds' absurd violence and brutality - can there ever fully be "Peace On Earth", seems doubtful... Enjoyed the Intro. in this clip - more visual(s), less dialogue - seems to suit your style more (IMHO) - {Knowing you don't care about my crappy opinion} - Keep Rockin' the Free World
Those waves look identical to SD waves when they get 10ft +. Very chunky and slow breaking. I typically take out an 8ft gun in surf like that so I can get in early and keep speed up. Riding a 6ft board in chunky surf like that kinda makes you bog ass.
It can get real dumpy and hollow at high tide when it breaks near the beach..Low tide it breaks way out and the sand bars are always moving even while you are out there..Never felt like I needed anything bigger than a 6'8" but I was like 150lbs back in the 90's.
@@BenGravyy your'e better than that Ben, you know darn well that i am banned from surfing in France as i displace so much water power carving ... that lot's of it gets stuck in orbit ..thus disrupting space travel ....
@@BenGravyy you see the videos of mundaka this past week....sand bars are all lined up again, but my god must have been a 100 people in the water.....glad I surfed it way back when (fairly sure i was one of first ny'ers there)....that is a heavy wave at size....those crowds are dangerous
