I'm using them on my steel mill NW2's switchers and now after seeing this review of how nice the spark arresters are, I'm putting the walthers version of spark arresters on all my steel mill Switchers including my Limestone train & Coke trains RSD-12 & 15'S . . . I just got Milwaukee Road SD9 yesterday. I am very happy with my purchase, but wondering if your locomotive does single “chirps or ticks” every so often even when the sound is turned off. I am using a digitrax controller. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks again for your review.
Hi Jeffrey. I have very little run time on this loco so far. So I must say I haven't noticed anything unusual in its performance. That being said, I only run with the sound on. The only thing I can suggest is to get in touch with Walthers and report the fault. I am sure they will be able to advise a solution. Best regards.
