Thanks for being such a great person, and a light in this shitshow of a time. Oxventure means an incredible amount to me, and your presence turns every episode you're in into an instant highlight. Thanks for your positivity, and genuineness, and generally being an exeptional example of a human. I don't get many chances to watch streams, but it's always such a pleasure when I do. I found Johnny in the Eurogamer days and followed them to Dicebreaker and eventually here. I work for a large court system in the US and carry a badge. I am, by many measures, "The Man," and I flinch a little every time Johnny says, "ACAB," although I don't disagree with the general sentiment (and I'm not technically a cop for what that's worth). I'm fully aware the system is designed to keep things how they are for the rich and powerful, and enforcement works one step removed from that (at best). I found myself step dad to two trans kids just as they were finding themselves years ago. When asked what my plan was (by another family member) my answer was, and remains, "love them." That turned out to be the easy part, and I credit having dozens and dozens of LGBTQ friends and family to help me figure out how best to do that in a hard, often hateful world. My position doesn't allow me to be politically vocal and demands that I remain, "neutral and unbiased," or I get fired. What that really means is that I don't get to have unpopular opinions loudly. Fine. I'd rather not telegraph my moves anyhow; let 'em be surprised. While I have to be extremely careful about what I say, know that you have allies in unexpected places and I'll be damned if I stand by while someone is hurt for who they are or who they love. You are not alone. Keep yourselves safe and we'll get through this, Skellies. Got your backs.
Also, I saw the great poet troupe Chumba of Wumba when they passed through the Cleve-lands in the 90s. Their words of wisdom remain as relevant as ever.
The whole "is it a symbol of order or faith" thing is a really neat way of asking which choice you made in the previous game for continuities sake, without just being so blatant. That's pretty fun

You know what would be cool? It'd be really cool if game devs built their game with the expectation of streamers with facecams and had a template screen in the menu somewhere to say "This square right here is where no UI will ever be." "These are the safe places to put cams and chat, etc."
@uninfamous What I'm saying is that most HUDs wind up with a safe space somewhere, but it often takes a bunch of trial and error as the cycle of information popping up behind the camera and moving the camera so we can see it rolls on until you stumble into where you can go. It would just be nice if the menu had a template screen that says, "Hey, this is where the safe space ended up"

I get your intent, but that would be counter to people like me who play games and want efficient use of the HUD/UI.

I gave up and just designed an overlay with a separate space for the camera. It also helps to adapt my 16:10 screen to 16:9 video.
