I mentioned this on Tommo’s video but it’s worth mentioning here. WHAT IF Kubo created Lille because he needed a way to introduce Shinken Hakkyōken? 🤔 It’s more likely that Kubo had the idea for the sword and Shunsui & Nanao’s backstory way before he conceived Lille Barro. i actually heavily fuck with this idea. when you sit back and think about it, the Ise clan's lineage HAD to have been in his mind LONG before TYBW. it would make sense.
Exactly. It's nit an asspull. Lille was created as a character to introduce the shinken hakyoken. If kubo wanted, he'd have made shunsui's bankai end lille, but ge didn't. That's not how a deus ex machina works. For it to ve considered a deus ex machina, the writer would have to write himself into a corner and randomly create a way out. But here, kubo obviously purposefully made lille survive kyoraku's bankai so he could show Nanao's zanpakuto. The problem is that western fans can't read.
I don't think wanted to introduce the sword, it more likely that this was a way to get explore Nanao and Shunsui relationship, I still find really stupid that Kubo resurrected Lille and made him invincible just to introduce a weapon that does exactly the only thing that can defeat Barro out of nowhere nad then never even metioning it again.

Can Lille Barro's light of Judgement cut through barrier between Soul Society and Royal Palace which normally existed before Ichigo's arrival into Seireitei after Royal Palace training?
Probably but people keep forgetting his power eliminates everything between him and his target. The blast wouldn’t go all the way down to Soul Society if his target was Shunsui.
Nah, that is why Aizen still needed the Oken since only Okens can break those barrier like he never considered that all the power he can gain from the Hogyouku will ever break those barriers Like Ywach is technically more powerful than Lille can ever be, yet Ywach still needed to wait for Ichigo's Oken Clothes to break those barrier. Also the Royal palace in itself is located in a different dimension than The serietei and the barriers are technically the thing that separates these two dimension. That is why Gremmy's meteor did not pass through the Royal palace first before landing on the Serietei. Because the Royal palace is in different space/dimension. This is also why the Elevator made by Yukio and Rukia needs to "travel through the dangai" when trying to teleport themselves around the Royal Palace.
If this follows Cour 1, we didn’t get an episode the week before Christmas and we got the two episode finale after Christmas. And seeing as Cour 3 aired exactly two years after Cour 1, I would assume this would follow the same release.
About the reason why Shinken Hakyoken exists I personally always thought that it's either one of the instruments made by Osho and the 5 Noble Family ancestors to combat the Soul King in case he was gonna turn against them or it's the blade he was holding when he split the worlds that got reforged into the Shinken Hakyoken and the reason why the curse is a thing is cuz it's like the "original sin" of the 5 Noble Family ancestors (i.e. disfiguring the Soul King to use his as the linchpin) and they passed it onto the Ise family to ward off the curse from themselves... That's why the Ise family are priests as they're probably doing rituals to contain said curse from returning to the Great Families whether they're doing it with that knowledge or not that I don't have enough knowledge to speculate on but yeah. I just always thought it was somehow tied to the Soul King as he's the one capital God and considering the sword actually works I feel like it's gotta be for something more than possible lesser gods

I think the stuff with Shinken Hyakkoken isn’t even all that crazy. Nanao had never had a Zanpakuto and always used Kido which is strange yet still managed to become lieutenant, sacred treasures exist already and we’ve seen 3 of them used in the story. It’s really not that crazy of a thing to happen, but it does happen technically out of nowhere because Nanao is not in the spotlight usually

The sword being in the visuals of the opening song is a non-starter of a retort. Anime intro's are notoriously spoiler heavy, thus plenty of people skip them. We have had 400 episodes of bleach with 0 reference or hint of there being a "curse" in Nanao's family, or her zanpakuto. The criticisms are completely valid. A less popular show would be (rightfully) heavily criticized for having a minor character pull out a weapon capable of slaying an immortal enemy with 0 prior knowledge. I adore the Bleach series, but let's be adults and call a spade a spade. This was a deus ex machina of a conclusion. The most likely scenario is that Kubo wrote himself into a corner all those years ago and couldn't come up with a way to defeat one of his antagonists aptly within the timeframe Shonen Jump told him to so he came up with this. There is no shame to felt on his part because he did the best he could within the confines of a deadline that his employers set. Cour 3 has been fantastic overall. Much better than cour 2 imo.
I don’t think Kubo wrote himself into a corner, I think he always had an idea of Nanao’s Zanpaktou being what defeats Lillie. It isn’t foreshadowing for the sword and it’s effects itself but Nanao’s appearances earlier on in the battle with her intent of supporting Shunsui and Ohana’s comments about the Kimono at least show that he didn’t come up with the idea the week before. I don’t think it was the best executed idea but I do think it’s mostly how Kubo wanted it to be
this is from a Reddit Contrary to popular belief, Nanao's zanpakuto was actually planned by Kubo as her name Ise which is based on the real life Ise Shrine which houses the Yata no Kagami mirror that reflects light. Her zanpakuto was designed based on this and was not a plot device as many believed. But it was rather convenient that sword perfectly counters Lille's power. That too can be explained with the assumption that this zanpakuto might have been used on the soul king to split his body parts and organs to 8 different direction. Since, Lille also got his god like power from Yhwach who himself got it from the Soul King, this sword was able to reflect the power. Fragments of soul king's powers went to the fullbringers and also Rangiku that possessed the Soul King's nail. The 8 main parts might be the Brain, Heart (Gerard), Left hand (Pernida), Right Hand (Mimihagi/Ukitake), the two legs, the chain of the soul king (Aura) and The Soul. The soul further split 80/20 where 80 goes to Yhwach and 20 to Hashwalt his other half. I suspect Aizen is someone with a part of the Soul kings body part and that made him incredibly powerful. The only person Yhwach was willing to go and talk to as he has that much power. Yhwach didn't even blink at the other 5 war potentials like Kenpachi, so Aizen must have something special. He wanted Ichigo as well as Ichigo has the same power of Soul King inside of him. He even called him his son because of this connection. The connection between Nanao's Zanpakutou and Yata no Kagami actually goes even further. Shinken Hakkyōken being used to defeat Lille, who had become a being of light, is a reference to Yata no Kagami being used to pacify Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun and daylight in Japanese myth.
@@akobe4785 I do appreciate the additional info, but that makes my initial statement worse. He planned her zanpakuto from the beginning, but there was 0 lore in 400 episodes about a family curse or any details/hints about her lineage as well. The cast of characters (non filler) is massive. Character bloat is a real problem and some of the side characters, largely dismissed by the fandom like Nanao, most certainly deserved some more fleshing out would you not agree?
Turn back the pendulum arc is 100 years ago and yeah this arc shows how she was admitted into the soul reaper academy and therefore squad 8 very early because of her kido proficiency but the discrepancy of by how young she looks just kinda shows when kubo developed her story (he knew nanao was young but couldn’t complete the whole story arc until now). All in all 100 years from little kid to young lady somewhat makes sense
@ it’s more she was so young in turn back the pendulum she has Lisa reading her story’s like she looks the same age a yachiru but in tybw when she gets into the court guard she clearly is ether a teen or preteen.
@@kuni145Nanao was more a small kid, her flashbacks in this fight is supposedly earlier than her appearance in Turnback the pendulum. Since in this flash back we basically see her still going through the academy. In Turn Back the Pendulum she is already a member of squad 8. Also in the manga Kubo drew Nanao in basically the same height in both flashbacks. I think that in general Kubo drew things to appear more taller after the shift in his art style since The lost agent arc

I don’t think it was the best executed idea but I do think it’s mostly how Kubo wanted it to be
I personally don't care if it is a deus ex machina. I just liked that it was Lille's own power that took him out rather than a play.
Did Kubo end bleach on his own terms or did they rush him? Cuz I’ve been hearing two different stories for years now
this is from a Reddit
Contrary to popular belief, Nanao's zanpakuto was actually planned by Kubo as her name Ise which is based on the real life Ise Shrine which houses the Yata no Kagami mirror that reflects light.
Am I the only one bothered by the fact nanao’s age doesn’t make sense with how young she was in turn back the pendulum with these flash backs?
I think that in general Kubo drew things to appear more taller after the shift in his art style since The lost agent arc
this is the worst bleach fight next to rukia vs riruka
No no it is one of tybw best fights
What if Nanao's Zanpakuto is just soul king left leg sealed in Zanpakuto
It's the soul king's makeup mirror
Wasn't Senjumaru's Bankai dealing with Lille Barro enough foreshadowing for Nanao's Zanpakuto?
Defeated by his own power? Nah, people want Shunsui's bankai to end Lille which makes no sense.
Lille obliterated that entire city. What happened to Isane and everyone that was sniped.. Seriously how did they survive that if they were left on the ground lol We know they survive because they appear in the Hell Arc..
Shunsui ran back very far before activating bankai. Probably the spot where the other were shot is a bit further away.
@@sejadlulic8377 Bruh Lille took out nearly that entire city with Trumpete.. The only thing left was a crescent shape, so unless they were shot on the outer edge of the city, they should be gone.
@@DFTNSHEXGRM there are 6 cities up there, the others would have reached the central one before this happened.
Liked this episode a lot…except for the worst enemy design in Bleach so far. Yes I’m a person that hasn’t finished the manga, sorry but he just looks dumb 😂
No it doesng
