Just ordered one of these from amazon, personally i love the very obvious imperfections of this camera's optics, the blurry edges are sublime and five a really interesting look to the images, cant wait to get mine now =)
the aperture is quite small, so how long do you have to let it expose the film to take a good shot on a sunny day? or is it the shutter already timed? Great review!!! cheers!
Hi CamChurch, I just assembled my Recesky TLR, I read in the instructions that there's a way to make fine tunings on the focus, to align for the two lens. Did you need to take that action for your model?
I built one of these but the kit was missing the film advance gear. I contacted the company but they discontinued it. So I guess I can shoot it without the gear?
@CamCrunch just after posting that comment, I watched a video where someone explained that. How is it to use a camera with fixed exposure? I guess it only works in daylight...
My rolls have been very good so far. Try shooting a roll on a tripod. If the results still come out inconsistent, you may have something wrong with the camera.
Hi there, thanks for the video. I lost the spring for the counter when I was assembling it. wonder if there's any way to tell how much I should turn the knob when advancing the film? would it also be 180 degree of the knob for advancing the film?
That's really cool! Nice overview, but you didn't say anything about how to expose (like shutter speed and aperture), and also focal length. Anyways, keep'em coming!
Hope you could help; somehow I cannot roll to the next film after I have taken a picture, I do not think is the roller but more on that little bit where the film is supposed to slot in... it would be great if you could tell me what to do Thanks
hey there, I'm doing some research to modify a Ricoh Gr with the Gakken-flex version of this camera, Japanese version, the straight Recesky version, is the Chinese one and wider than the Japanese Gakken, "narrow version" which I can't find.
@CamCrunch Okai :) Did you get digital files or did you get them on paper and scan them in yourself? Btw, just ordred one of these and some film. Cant wait to put it togheter and try it out
@evenode I just go to a store. I've never taken a photo class or anything so I don't know how to process my film at the moment. I hope to in the future though!
I know I'm 8 years late, but I think you're looking for the Gakkenflex TLR. It's a bit smaller, the return knob is on the bottom left instead the bottom right, and it has a "6" on top.
Can anyon help me??!! I have that tlr. My focus ring is really hard to twist. Is that supposed to happen? And yes i have twis both lens all the way down to the opening. Please help!! :(
just shoot the last pic, open up the cam and pull it out! Make sure there is lots of light around so you can see what oyu are doing because this can complicated
Only certain areas of the photos are sharp. Its a characteristic of the lens. Also, you need to be a certain distance away from the subject. If you're too far or too close, you get blurry images.
If I 'll give you here my email address can yiu'll please sent me a scan of the intructional foil, please, 'cause I have just the chines version, and two of those can I want to build. Thank You
I was expecting the images to be completely blurred out but it actually looks really good Definitely getting one

Just like a real twin lens reflex camera.
I posted pics at the end. Or do you want me to post more?
whats the film u use

Putting to together now. Thanks for the video!

How u do the multishoot exposure ?
@ats1995 Yup, basically just daylight. It's really nice to not have to think about the exposure. As long as you have good light, the photos are great!
My rolls have been very good so far. Try shooting a roll on a tripod. If the results still come out inconsistent, you may have something wrong with the camera.
yea found the model I need its the Gakkenflex, a little smaller that the one your reviewing, almost impossible to find except in japan.

Hi. Just got one of these, assembled it but not used it yet. Do you have any idea what the shutter speed and F-stop are?
Tiny compared to TLR cameras of the past (which were never 35mm format!) but it looks fun for artistic experimentation.

How do you adjust the focus?
Turn the lwns
When you hit the shutter twice, it just sounds like plastic moving up and down.... Is there a picture taken already when you hit the shutter?
Any idea where I can get the manual in english or spanish please??
Impossible with the chinese manual that comes with my product :(
I found a PDF in English. Its called 1825_twin_camera.pdf

Is it a real hassle to wind to the next exposure
@CamCrunch Another thing while im at it, do you process your film yourself? Or do you go to a store to get it done? :)

Im looking to get one of these, I'm suspecting there is a smaller version, with a symbol on the top in the shape of a 6? instead of the lettering.

You should be seeing the whole image. Try to finish assembling your camera, it might look different in the end.
I need help
i dont get how to use it
for every picture im suppose to turn the advance knob and the counter?
what comes first im so confused!
:(
The counter turns when you turn the advance.
hello..how to take out the film from the lomo..??
hi! :D am i able to rotate the two lens or is it fixed?
Yes, you can focus it that way.
Can anyon help me??!! I have that tlr. My focus ring is really hard to twist. Is that supposed to happen? And yes i have twis both lens all the way down to the opening. Please help!! :(
Most are hard to twist. Add some light grease. Not that much
how do you shoot double exposure on this?
don't rewind the film and hit the shutter twice
*advance :)
Strange place for tripod thread
Roy Rudkin 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What type of film should I use
35mm. Doesn't matter the brand.
Thank you
@@dusstieeavendano5972 you're welcome
Sweet review!

Oh, never mind. (didn't watch all the way. Just for the shutter part) too much edge blur for my taste. I'll stick with a holga.
