But somehow we always find a way, we trust each other and I think it shows on the court. Today, when he (Murray) scored that (last) shot, everybody (on the team) jumped happy, of course it's playoffs and everything, but we were all just happy for him for scoring.

I was studying in university abroad for 4 years, imagine how happy I was to bump into someone from my own country and get a chance to speak my own language. I believe the same goes for everyone when you're away from home for a long time. Homesickness hits hard sometimes.
We didn't see him talking that much during the entire season (press conferences) :D as a European guy, I can totally understand him, how good it feels when someone actual speaks your language.
Look at the way Jokic dresses and his body language, you can tell he’s a for real.
You can tell he appears much more engaged, confident, and overall intelligent-presenting when speaking his own language! Not to say he sounds stupid speaking English of course lol. You can just tell he can take himself more seriously when speaking his native tongue.

As a polyglot, it's very frustrating when people speak to you like a child when they hear your accent. I've had 6th graders talk down to me while using incorrect grammar themselves. I totally get his surprise and immediate change in how relaxed and talkative he becomes hearing his own language.
