  • A selection of film shot in 2006 in South Wales. Follow Class 37s on Valley Line working, including a run to Fishguard. Lots of lineside and on board action, plus a look at some other workings that were common at the time.
Turn your speakers up loud for plenty of thrash!

Great video & these are what I call real trains! Those engines are the best hands down!

A lot of the37's that was stabled at Cardiff came from the Eastern region from Stratford, l was at ripple lane as a driver we had 31's 37's and 47's
The old 37's was slow and strong

It's such a shame that some of these engines are scrapped now. I remember being behind them in the Highlands of Scotland in the late 80's.

Opening shots are at Rhymney Station I use this line several time a week. The line is going to go back to twin track within the next couple of years with increased services from Rhymney to Cardiff. They have allreay placed a loop at Tir-phil Station and completely rebuild and extended Tir-Phil

I worked on the re-signalling project on this line 2013-15. A lot of changes since then!

Why didn't you film the station names so we know where you are. Apart from that, great footage and sounds 😀

I find it hard to believe that a human being can drive a Class 37 and not smile at some point on the journey.
