Putting 3 Meta ranked characters in B tier is crazy. Bang, Fuse, and Pathfinder?? My ranked lobbies are filled with those. They're highly picked in Comp too
As a rampart main, your take on her was surprisingly spot on. in my opinion, she's always been that solid good (solid B tier to maybe low A tier) character with a moderate learning curve. I really like how respawn has given her buffs over the years to make her slightly more forgiving to play like mobile sheila, a faster deploy time, and just now with them finally giving massive buffs to lmgs. I feel like in her current state, She'll probably stay strong and the only situation where she could be at risk of getting "nerfs" is if she becomes a meta option in the higher tier lobbies (master/pred/pro lobbies) and it causes a ripple effect into the lower and mid tier lobbies. (basically about rookie to mid diamond) honestly, if you haven't given rampart a chance, no better time to do it than now because that sheila change feels way better than I initially thought on paper.
Rampart has always been A-tier because nobody know how to play against her and she pumps damage harder than any character in the game, now they buffed everything about her in one patch and she’s the best character in the game right now if you’re good at her.
The issue with rampart is that most players play her passively or don't get the most out of her kit. I am by no means the top rampart but I have 5k kills on her and if it's taught me anything it's that nobody knows how to play against an aggressive and good rampart

Putting Seer in A tier is actually delusional. Swap him with Wattson, her new gen that heals shields faster (and secretly takes ult accels faster, not many people noticed that) is more useful than Seers whole fucking kit. His scan is easy to dodge, his passive has no range and you can hear it from a mile away, and his ult can just be crouch walked through or waited out. L take, you stay underestimating Wattson for no reason
I agree. Plus all controller legends are amazing in the new map. Don't forget the controller buff where they get 25 extra health if they are inside ring.
i've loved vantage since when she came out, and im glad to see that she's actually viable now. she's probably one of the most fun characters to play along with maggie and octane
I’ve mained Vantage ever since she’s came out (I love sniping in any game so a sniper as an ult is my dream) and imo she was always viable, yeah maybe not the best but if you get good at hitting them shots then you delete people especially now it’s buffed also if you had comms with your teammates then it just makes her so much more viable
i think they should turn ash's snare from a movement trap into a silencing ability, and take it away from seer. i feel like it would just make more sense that your abilities are blocked because your arm is tied up by a cable.
The reason I disagree on Loba is: 1. The reset on the loot bins makes loot way more available 2. The obstacles allow for more cover for other to loot death boxes 3. They increased ammo stacks and loot density So yes good for Loba but also good for anyone that needs loot. Same tier as before in my opinion 🤷🏽♂️.
Only Buff Octane needs is to make his Jump Pads friendly use ONLY.... I still dont understand why enemies can use my pad to chase me down as i try to escape.
As a long time rampart main who had to switch to mirage for ranked last season im proud to say im back on rampart. The ability to place the turret down so often. Easily fixes the ammo problem as it has infinite ammo. This makes it super easy to just spray bullets from across the map farming rp from fighting teams and getting easy thirst. This also allows for risky turret placements as you still have your ult. Also amped cover at range is op as hell!
Maggie is also very good as counter to control legends on e district or situations where people camp inside of buildingd because while her ult can be inconsistent outdoors when a team is ina cramped space throwing a wrecking ball inside a house and letting it whipe out all of the traps and placing thermites and stunning everyone inside can create some insane pushes as long as maggie herself doesn't get caught up in the carnage.
Putting Pathfinder B tier just tells me you aren’t good with Pathfinder. Having good movement is crucial for utilizing him to the fullest and if you know what you’re doing he’s absolutely A or even S tier.
When it comes to Fuse, you can still do the Jump tower ult, you just need a bangalore to smoke the top of the tower so it technically counts as if you landed the ult on the smoke and not the balloon
I’ve sung the praises of vantage for so long. I never got how she isn’t big in the higher up ranks or even pros. She was movement, good intel gathering and a cracked sniper and with how good the pros aim it’s crazy we are seeing pro players easily squad wipe
This is very nitpicky but I wanted to mention that with fuse you can still use the evac exploit, but you have to use a Bangalore’s smoke first on the evac then fuse ult. it’s really dumb but they didn’t actually fix the exploit for pro play. You can also fuse ult care packages including lifeline’s while they are coming down to cover a really wide area like with the evacs to get wallhacks, but this doesn’t really come up and is much more tricky to hit
I don't think he keeps up with algs. Otherwise he would've known that. They found that exploit with the smoke like the same day it was patched lol. Also, using the lifeline care package main problem is a team has to switch one of their characters for lifeline. Unless a team already is running lifeline, using the care package for the ult is not worth it. Evac/smoke is more consistent and reliable.
Maybe. It might be nice to be able to click somewhere else and then teleport from the perspective of that location. That would make it so the portal could go around corners. But making that feel nice for the player might be challenging.
4:12 if u have p2020 or mozam in sling not only do u get akimbo but with hes upgrade perk at purple shield they get the hopup (went blank cant remember name) permanently so he kinda has golden versions even out of hes ult which is really nice, had lots of fun with it today
Personally I’ve been having a ton of fun and good luck with Ash in the early ranks this season. I don’t know if it’s a bug or on purpose, but if you upgrade her snare to snare multiple enemies and triple duration, it will damage enemies twice. What I mean is that when I snare a squad in a building, I can do 20 damage twice to each person snared…it’s been pretty busted for poke damage but I understand the low ranking. :D
I think ANY set caustic traps should activate and spread gas for a fixed minimum amount of time even if disabled, so that disabling or destroying them only reduces the amount of time gas is lingering in the area
Wraiths portal could have a change and make a sort of "Speed" boost. Maybe making her ULT telleport 3-4 jumps(like mini Ash Ults, then she could still take damage on at each end point of each portal jump). And possibly be invulnerable between them because atm she normal gets taken out in here ULT...
I personally think Caustic's traps should need to be shot the same amount as when activated to destroy them, just being able to shoot the bottom part once to deactivate them doesn't really make much sense, but they can keep the part where you only need one bullets while they're inflating.
Mirage buff idea: When controlling your Tac or using your ult, the decoys shoot bullets whenever you shoot, same effects, if you have disrupter round effects on ur bullets so do the decoys, but they are decoy bullets, do literally nothing, js more clutter on the enemies screen and let the real one shoot without being singled out as easy
Ash is not C Tier she’s just a higher skill floor legend, don’t recommend newer players to pick her up but if you put in the time with her she’s very good with tons of outplay capability
She's still incredibly weak compared to the easier to use legends with more reward. Why bother with using ash when you can use horizon, pathfinder, revenant, or even octane to do the same thing ash can (aggression) but faster & better. Path of least resistance, dude.
@@vari2d347 revenant can’t move a full team, octane is getting you fried out of the air, pathy can move your team and is a great legend atm so no argument against that, upside to ash being a LOT of information as you’re rotating, a port that lets you make micro rotations completely safely, lets you push a team faster than any other legend, im a competitive coach and she’s so good we’ve played around with ash on the team but her skill floor is too high unfortunately, other T2 teams with better ash players have used her successfuly though
Maybe if you rank legends only in like the highest skill or only judge based on high elo, but like he said in the video, most people play for fun and if a Legends is basically useless unless you put 500 hours in then I do think its fine putting her lower. It doent mean she is week. Its the same way with other Champs like Mirrage beeing way better in lowelo then high elo, just the other way around.
The lines get blurred when everyone you go against is a Top 200 Pred/Master with 20 bombs and 4ks 3 stacking every game. I genuinely cannot play this game with friends because I’m an above average player and sbmm punishes me for it.
The loot rework is the most unnecessary thing in this season. Some of my friends stopped playing because until the end of round 2 you're running around with no scopes or heals and end up dying because of that, especially in the revival trios on e-district

Hey mango, about fuse still being used after the patch in algs. That's because there's a work around the evac patch. Before they could just fuse ult the top of the evac. Now pros have to put a smoke on top of the evac tower before fuse can ult the evac. They are still using fuse the same way before the patch.
I think you forgot about or underestimated the effect of the remote pickup for controllers. You can relocate and quickly regain a bunch of charges of your tac. It feels like with wattson and caustic you always have charges to use.

let's be honest like you said with smart players knowing to play around caustic can be also apply to rampart it's easy to destroy her walls. Wattson IMO is better she can cover more space and with her new perks you can play aggro or ring.
Fuse in b teir is mad. The controller legend meta is good for fuse especially agains wattson if she doesnt have her gen down he can easily destroy her fences. And alter path and bang is crazy to put in b tier
As a mirage main him being the lowest support character is crazy in my opinion his res is the best with the revive health regen upgrade I think makes him better than Gibby
Gibby's kit is better than mirage. The dome itself is better than mirages whole kit. Mirage doesn't bring anything to the team prior to a knock. I mean invisible res and health regen is nice and all, but at that point you most likely already lost the fight lol. Gibby being higher makes sense. That dome will keep a team a live and the ult is good at creating space or making time for your team to reset. Also, don't forget the battle sense just made mirage useless. At least until they fix that i wouldn't recommend playing mirage.
@@BigSuzpekt to say the dome is better than the whole kit is wicked the dome is massive it so visible and you can get pushed from multiple sides due to how revealing it is and the amount of times I used my ult this season alone to run away so my team can respawn or run into a res and with the lower res time he’s so much better the quicker revives make Gibbys dome res seem terrible and also his ult is so easy to avoid especially with so many more people playing Watson after the controller buff also it tells you we’re it’s hitting
Path is S Tier. Nothing to discuss about here. He is on - especially district - one of the strongest heroes by far. Not me playing him in masters but literally everybody else. Seeing a path pickest of 25++% in masters and pred is insane. (Path 25%, Rev 20%, bang 8%, horizon 8% and lifeline 8%. Even vantage is in the top 8 heroes this season. Every single hero with no movement or gamechanging ability is literally trash on the new map.
Take away Revenant's leap, and add his silencers. I'm fine with his leap and yes, they give a lot of opportunity and movement to his kit, but his silencers are way more strategic. Plus, it can balance his kit a bit. I just miss his silencers
Pathfinder is just WAY too fun on E-District. Hes my OG main, but ive veered away from him in favor of Support legends the past 8+ seasons... but with all the buildings and big walls to grapple on, you cant go wrong with him. Hes still very very solid on the other maps though. Just look at the pro scene right now. Alliance just won the ESports World Cup running Pathy, and his pickrate there was very high. I do like Valkyrie a lot though. Her Ult can get you over many of the walls and mountains that Evacs mostly cant. Plus she has a level 2 upgrade for more launch height if you feel you need it (all the maps in the current rotation).
Ballistic is slept on. Not saying hes not still C but if you upgrade him right his tac is actually pretty good, and lmg gunshield is a buff to him as well since his ult automatically adds it when active. If hes in ult and you use speed buff on Whistler hit hes pretty fuckin fast too. Hes fun af
Valid points for putting Gibby in B tier. I didn't really think about the indirect buffs he got with the hop up and shotty buff. And once regular Apex comes back and this garbage ass mode goes away, Gibby will be a far more valuable legend.
Masters Ash Main. The Ash slaner is wild shes easily A tier. Her first perk gives you a 60 second UAV. Off hand snare is extremely playable, and her ult could use some kind of buff or rework but its best for taking high ground, taking position, or being aggressive after snare. Ash is at her best being very aggressive.
The snare is easily broken, & her ult is just horizon tact on a longer cooldown. She's not weak, just comparatively weak when looked at aside the clearly overpowered legends. I would prefer them to just nerf the clearly overpowered movement legends than rework ash, but god forbid they nerf horizon, then all the crutches will cry & scream about how their op legend is less op.
@@vari2d347 Horizon tac doesn't go through windows. She's neither great or bad. She's better than she has ever been but I think she is a A or B tier legend. Not all of us can be 'Cloudy', and that is kind of her biggest weakness. She's not easy or versatile like Horizon is. But rather more niche.
I don't play ash, but what do you think about them adding a perk to her ult? I think there's two problems with ash's ult. 1. The ult is really inconsistent and hard to place under pressure. 2. The distance is mediocre. I think by simply adding a perk that increases her ult distance would make her more popular. Without nerfing other legends. Obviously, they need fix the inconsistency of her ult. The time's i've used her, i've accidentally placed my portal 2 feet in front of me because of something small was in the way like a branch or the tip of a rock lol.
Idk. Because before this, there's a couple of gold knockdowns that drop pretty consistently depending on the map at round start. Now with the high tier loot nerfs, you have to wait until round 3.
respawn loves to butcher meta picks like wraith,pathy etc but they never nerf horizon enough.Rev is also kinda overtuned and needs a slight adjustment but he has been shit for so long so i guess he deserves some time into the spotlight
As an octane main I agree to some extent I think revtane is still OP even if it’s just revenant getting the extra hp but if ur teammates are like a wraith and mirage ur spot on
Overall I like it. The thing that bothered me the most is the battle pass. I play every season and grid to get the apex coins to get pass next season. Now you have to pay to get it. Thought that was a little disappointing.
Crypto is still a sleeper pick ngl, because not many people enjoy playing him and his kit takes a lot of skill to use effectively. New perk was something that we Crypto mains have been asking for years now

His silence is useful, but he took a hard hit with the healthbar update. Half his utility is basically just a worse version of a passive everyone has now. Give him his old highlight back at this point
Give ash tether +5 or +4 shield Damage per sec and if the player dont have any shields then they won't take damage, and dear god give her a new passive because we all know that crap is useless. give her something close to dead silence from COD. i mean she a ninja right.

The recon class got so much more interesting this update. All of them are incredibly good but also bring very different utility.

I don't think he keeps up with algs. Otherwise he would've known that. They found that exploit with the smoke like the same day it was patched lol. Also, using the lifeline care package main problem is a team has to switch one of their characters for lifeline. Unless a team already is running lifeline, using the care package for the ult is not worth it. Evac/smoke is more consistent and reliable.

Maybe. It might be nice to be able to click somewhere else and then teleport from the perspective of that location. That would make it so the portal could go around corners. But making that feel nice for the player might be challenging.

4:12 if u have p2020 or mozam in sling not only do u get akimbo but with hes upgrade perk at purple shield they get the hopup (went blank cant remember name) permanently so he kinda has golden versions even out of hes ult which is really nice, had lots of fun with it today

Personally I’ve been having a ton of fun and good luck with Ash in the early ranks this season. I don’t know if it’s a bug or on purpose, but if you upgrade her snare to snare multiple enemies and triple duration, it will damage enemies twice. What I mean is that when I snare a squad in a building, I can do 20 damage twice to each person snared…it’s been pretty busted for poke damage but I understand the low ranking. :D
I think ANY set caustic traps should activate and spread gas for a fixed minimum amount of time even if disabled, so that disabling or destroying them only reduces the amount of time gas is lingering in the area

Last night me and the bros used the combo of Wattson, Pathfinder, Lifeline and it was a pretty good time!
Wraiths portal could have a change and make a sort of "Speed" boost. Maybe making her ULT telleport 3-4 jumps(like mini Ash Ults, then she could still take damage on at each end point of each portal jump). And possibly be invulnerable between them because atm she normal gets taken out in here ULT...
I personally think Caustic's traps should need to be shot the same amount as when activated to destroy them, just being able to shoot the bottom part once to deactivate them doesn't really make much sense, but they can keep the part where you only need one bullets while they're inflating.

Mirage buff idea: When controlling your Tac or using your ult, the decoys shoot bullets whenever you shoot, same effects, if you have disrupter round effects on ur bullets so do the decoys, but they are decoy bullets, do literally nothing, js more clutter on the enemies screen and let the real one shoot without being singled out as easy
Lifeline last season was spot on. I don't think she needs a rework. I use care packages as an Indestructible cover in the end game ring.

Ash is not C Tier she’s just a higher skill floor legend, don’t recommend newer players to pick her up but if you put in the time with her she’s very good with tons of outplay capability

Why bother with using ash when you can use horizon, pathfinder, revenant, or even octane to do the same thing ash can (aggression) but faster & better.

@@vari2d347 revenant can’t move a full team, octane is getting you fried out of the air, pathy can move your team and is a great legend atm so no argument against that, upside to ash being a LOT of information as you’re rotating, a port that lets you make micro rotations completely safely, lets you push a team faster than any other legend, im a competitive coach and she’s so good we’ve played around with ash on the team but her skill floor is too high unfortunately, other T2 teams with better ash players have used her successfuly though
Maybe if you rank legends only in like the highest skill or only judge based on high elo, but like he said in the video, most people play for fun and if a Legends is basically useless unless you put 500 hours in then I do think its fine putting her lower. It doent mean she is week. Its the same way with other Champs like Mirrage beeing way better in lowelo then high elo, just the other way around.

The loot rework is the most unnecessary thing in this season. Some of my friends stopped playing because until the end of round 2 you're running around with no scopes or heals and end up dying because of that, especially in the revival trios on e-district

The battle sense really nerfed mirage's kit pretty much all the way, yet I still get bamboozled.
Alter is the sleeper pick this season. Her ultimate is game changer when correctly used and she can scan ring consoles. Very good anchor for a team.

Hey mango, about fuse still being used after the patch in algs. That's because there's a work around the evac patch. Before they could just fuse ult the top of the evac. Now pros have to put a smoke on top of the evac tower before fuse can ult the evac. They are still using fuse the same way before the patch.
I think you forgot about or underestimated the effect of the remote pickup for controllers.
You can relocate and quickly regain a bunch of charges of your tac. It feels like with wattson and caustic you always have charges to use.

let's be honest like you said with smart players knowing to play around caustic can be also apply to rampart it's easy to destroy her walls. Wattson IMO is better she can cover more space and with her new perks you can play aggro or ring.

Fuse in b teir is mad. The controller legend meta is good for fuse especially agains wattson if she doesnt have her gen down he can easily destroy her fences. And alter path and bang is crazy to put in b tier
As a mirage main him being the lowest support character is crazy in my opinion his res is the best with the revive health regen upgrade I think makes him better than Gibby
Gibby has that same option.
Gibby's kit is better than mirage. The dome itself is better than mirages whole kit. Mirage doesn't bring anything to the team prior to a knock. I mean invisible res and health regen is nice and all, but at that point you most likely already lost the fight lol. Gibby being higher makes sense. That dome will keep a team a live and the ult is good at creating space or making time for your team to reset. Also, don't forget the battle sense just made mirage useless. At least until they fix that i wouldn't recommend playing mirage.

@@BigSuzpekt to say the dome is better than the whole kit is wicked the dome is massive it so visible and you can get pushed from multiple sides due to how revealing it is and the amount of times I used my ult this season alone to run away so my team can respawn or run into a res and with the lower res time he’s so much better the quicker revives make Gibbys dome res seem terrible and also his ult is so easy to avoid especially with so many more people playing Watson after the controller buff also it tells you we’re it’s hitting

He is on - especially district - one of the strongest heroes by far. Not me playing him in masters but literally everybody else.
Seeing a path pickest of 25++% in masters and pred is insane. (Path 25%, Rev 20%, bang 8%, horizon 8% and lifeline 8%. Even vantage is in the top 8 heroes this season.
Every single hero with no movement or gamechanging ability is literally trash on the new map.
Take away Revenant's leap, and add his silencers. I'm fine with his leap and yes, they give a lot of opportunity and movement to his kit, but his silencers are way more strategic. Plus, it can balance his kit a bit. I just miss his silencers

Pathfinder is just WAY too fun on E-District. Hes my OG main, but ive veered away from him in favor of Support legends the past 8+ seasons... but with all the buildings and big walls to grapple on, you cant go wrong with him.
Hes still very very solid on the other maps though. Just look at the pro scene right now. Alliance just won the ESports World Cup running Pathy, and his pickrate there was very high.
I do like Valkyrie a lot though. Her Ult can get you over many of the walls and mountains that Evacs mostly cant. Plus she has a level 2 upgrade for more launch height if you feel you need it (all the maps in the current rotation).
Ballistic is slept on. Not saying hes not still C but if you upgrade him right his tac is actually pretty good, and lmg gunshield is a buff to him as well since his ult automatically adds it when active. If hes in ult and you use speed buff on Whistler hit hes pretty fuckin fast too. Hes fun af

Valid points for putting Gibby in B tier. I didn't really think about the indirect buffs he got with the hop up and shotty buff. And once regular Apex comes back and this garbage ass mode goes away, Gibby will be a far more valuable legend.
Masters Ash Main. The Ash slaner is wild shes easily A tier. Her first perk gives you a 60 second UAV. Off hand snare is extremely playable, and her ult could use some kind of buff or rework but its best for taking high ground, taking position, or being aggressive after snare. Ash is at her best being very aggressive.
Most people arnt smart enough to get use out of her kit so they immediately say she's bad.
The snare is easily broken, & her ult is just horizon tact on a longer cooldown.
She's not weak, just comparatively weak when looked at aside the clearly overpowered legends.
I would prefer them to just nerf the clearly overpowered movement legends than rework ash, but god forbid they nerf horizon, then all the crutches will cry & scream about how their op legend is less op.

She's neither great or bad. She's better than she has ever been but I think she is a A or B tier legend. Not all of us can be 'Cloudy', and that is kind of her biggest weakness. She's not easy or versatile like Horizon is. But rather more niche.

I don't play ash, but what do you think about them adding a perk to her ult? I think there's two problems with ash's ult. 1. The ult is really inconsistent and hard to place under pressure. 2. The distance is mediocre. I think by simply adding a perk that increases her ult distance would make her more popular. Without nerfing other legends. Obviously, they need fix the inconsistency of her ult. The time's i've used her, i've accidentally placed my portal 2 feet in front of me because of something small was in the way like a branch or the tip of a rock lol.

Idk. Because before this, there's a couple of gold knockdowns that drop pretty consistently depending on the map at round start. Now with the high tier loot nerfs, you have to wait until round 3.
respawn loves to butcher meta picks like wraith,pathy etc but they never nerf horizon enough.Rev is also kinda overtuned and needs a slight adjustment but he has been shit for so long so i guess he deserves some time into the spotlight
As an octane main I agree to some extent I think revtane is still OP even if it’s just revenant getting the extra hp but if ur teammates are like a wraith and mirage ur spot on
Gibby is a raid boss now 75 hp arm shield and auto reload dual mozams with on knock
Overall I like it. The thing that bothered me the most is the battle pass. I play every season and grid to get the apex coins to get pass next season. Now you have to pay to get it. Thought that was a little disappointing.
Crypto is still a sleeper pick ngl, because not many people enjoy playing him and his kit takes a lot of skill to use effectively. New perk was something that we Crypto mains have been asking for years now

Also ashes passive is massively underlooked. In ranked she is almost better than a recon sometimes. Purely for rotation and 3rd partying.

His silence is useful, but he took a hard hit with the healthbar update. Half his utility is basically just a worse version of a passive everyone has now. Give him his old highlight back at this point
The team value i bring as octane is being a lore accurate octane
Give ash tether +5 or +4 shield Damage per sec and if the player dont have any shields then they won't take damage, and dear god give her a new passive because we all know that crap is useless. give her something close to dead silence from COD. i mean she a ninja right.
