You need to say "FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER!" in Mehdi's (@ElectroBOOM) voice...

There's a lot to like about this channel, of course, but one thing I'll mention is the ads. It's not just manscaped and VPNs and headphones like everyone else. This was genuinely something I'd never heard of before, and am interested by. That's how ads should be, not just taking the easy money from the startup with a big ad budget whose business model is "trending first, quality second."

With the local price of water, 528 gallons would equal to the price of 15kWh of electrical energy. So, if his phone battery stores 15Wh, this charging method has an efficiency of 0.001.

This would be great connected further to a garden watering system not to waste water and also getting some power.

Why would you use Celsius? That’s like annoyingly inconvenient for me to have to go look up the Fahrenheit conversation if I want to know how cold that plate was getting. Which I do! Aren’t you in America with the rest of us? Using Celsius is like purposely being obscure and complicated for no helpful reasons. I know I’m complaining about My own ignorance but still, it feels intentional that you didn’t say the Fahrenheit. Does any normal person in America even know off the top of their heads what the conversion is for Celsius and Fahrenheit?

This is cool, but it still just seems like a huge waste of fresh water.

Hey can you post a link to that sweet pelton wheel setup? I bet a lot of schools would be interested that don't have the means to make one.

You should mention Quint BUILDs and how he made rainwater do the same. He actually built his own motor and turbine and goes through the process more thoroughly. Nice video tho.

Great. Now I can take 528 gallons of water with me everywhere I go so that if I need a charge I can spend the entire time pouring a consistent amount of water to charge my phone rather than plugging it into my car. But seriously I think what you did was cool.

Dude I think you invented the world's least efficient way to convert electricity into water pressure and back into electricity. Nice!
