  • After some wrenching in the shop on the Pathmaker rig it was time to head out with the boys to test some of the new parts on the rigs. With upgraded air shocks on the Tipsy Toyota, new gears and diff armour on the Janky Suzuki Samurai and new t-case on the Bruiser Cruiser it was a day of sticky tire off roading and 4x4ing with Team Island Spec.

Jimmers is looking much more stable with the new Shocks. It looks cooler too. Spec lists are sweet, can I suggest a short pause while it's displayed. Always loving my Saturday morning toons, even if I can't finish them til Sunday 👍👌

After powder coating for a little over 10 years I've learned rattle can paint jobs can be better at times.... where powder will just chip and crack and just fuck the rest of it rattle can just scratches and can be touched up with ease

The reason I watch your channel; don't know my ass from a belt loop about pipe ratings, but it pleases me very much to know what you are bending is not the correct material! Also, winced at your bead sitch---but damn those tires are sexy up close...my word! Lastly, excellent use of the pickle-bucket: true shop chops!

The material is fine, but there are a lot of keyboard warriors who like to say it will never work. Every single full body rig on my channel runs the same cage material and you've seen it hold up many many times. But I like to poke the bear.

@@PathmakerProductions Excellent; that shot of crawling; w/ full-arch bow in the background is something to be proud of..,true story! Love the carb, got a place in my heart for the cut of his jib. Additionally, was curious to know, when you refererenced the stretch; what have you all decided is the sweert spot for your terrain(i.e. your crew as a whole in that length department? And thanks for taking us along...also, you ever considered a welding apprenticeship for Paws; may be worth the time and $: just sayin'!

Cant plan stuff like that rainbow!
The wheelbasebon the Parhmaker is 113” and works pretty good for the size of climbs we have but also can work thru the tight corners. Kevins rig is currently about 90” and hes thinking about stretching it 6” in the rear and 8” in the front, which would but him near my length. Janky gets a bit sketchy on the big climbs being so short!

Hes workin on it as fast as he can. Budget issues, life is expensive these days, especially for oneton parts.

@@PathmakerProductions well that's understandable parts in general are expensive now I don't even wanna think about dana 60 parts a used axle here in Washington is 1500 bucks or more.... 14 bolts tho them are still cheap
