@@jamesb212 Yeah I saw Yvette comment on Insta saying that prior to Forrest leaving, they had already recorded/film a bunch of stuff. She decided to keep what they made because she cherished the memories. It's bittersweet, but I get why she chose to keep him in there (Forrest is on every song but one on the new record). That smile and happy-go-lucky presence... ugh ❤
there's only so many things an instrumental band can achieve. that's just how it is. pretty hard to keep going when everything just feels like a jam, no matter how impressive.
Interestingly enough, Forrest is listed under the gear section of Covet’s website still, and is the only other member listed aside from Yvette. Maybe he is back in?
Yvette is so incredible at guitar. Everything she creates, from her solo acoustic albums to covet, it's all incredible. Really wishing you guys the best. Your music has gotten me through some really tough times.
Damn this has everything. Boomer bends, dad rock solo, prog odd time signature bridge, a jazz ritardo, a fucking sexy sax solo. And all that glorious Covet goodness as well. Fantastic.
That riff that started at 2:01 and then sprinkles of it all through out of the song until the end, deymn, so good it felt illegal, All hail Lord Yvette
I love this song so much. But you can feel this sadness of a chapter being closed and a new one opening. Knowing that this is their last music video together, makes this song have a tragic feel to to it. But I will support them all! So talented
The ending feels like such a farewell to the last album.. Yvette, I hope this message inspires you guys, I'm really excited to see you guys play on saturday!! -one of your biggest fans!
Seeing you guys play this live gave me wings! I’ve never experienced an artist that emits as much joy and feeling through music as you guys. Thank you Covet for all that you do ❤️
I've been listening and watching on this song for the whole day. It makes me cry a bit don't know why. you can see on yvette's face how much she loved playing this song.
This sounds could probably be one great soundtrack for a beautiful, radiant, glowing & harmonious love potion, just like the notes, melodies and beat on this song. If this song is on fire, the fire in this song would be a viewtiful violet flame... so lit! Quintessence in your harmonious sounding colours. 💚💙💜
AHH ITS THE OL BOOPY RIFT. LETS GO!!! I still think about that comment on the original video about a duck who is a salesman that travels the world and I still think it fits here
I've wanted to see Covet Live for the longest time, and it breaks my heart this isn't the Trio I'll be watching...PLEASE get the gang back together! NOTHING is unsolvable!
Absolute favorite song on this album from the first listen. Blessed to hear Yvette say this is her fav song on the album at the Covet Toronto show. It really does convey what made her fall in love with music. ToT Thank you Covet and Yvette, and flourish forever please.
Say what you will about her unique finger style work. But you know what does it for me. The fucking bends she does with that god damn smile on her face. the melding of the notes....beyond perfection. looking at you 3:25.
They haven't made a song anything less than incredible yet and this is up there as well. Covet is solid, one of my most listened to bands in the past few years. The single art is awesome as well.
i remember they played this riff at the glasshouse. good to hear it in studio form makes me want to come out of retirement and pickup the axe and stix again
I haven’t played in a few weeks cause I’ve been real down and feeling terrible about myself but after hearing this melody I’m very inspired to pick up my guitar today.
This band is still relatively new but next to Gorillaz, Metallica & Dance Gavin Dance, Covet is one of my favorite bands. They have a sound that is uniquely theirs. Yvette is so cool & nice.
Thank you Algorithm for helping me discover big ol boppy riff leading me to a comment leading me to this
Me too friend (:
same lol
same
same
Hell yeah
Finally big ol boopy riff comes to life. I've waited 3 years for this. FINALLY! I love it so much. Thanks Covet for making amazing music.
Dude I know how yo feel! I'd come back to that riff video all the time haha
Came here to say this too. I looped Yvette’s riff so many times, hearing this made me tear up.
Boppy* but yes
so stoked to see forrest in another music video off the new album
What's the deal with him being in the videos but not in the band? Guessing he played/recorded these songs & videos before leaving?

y'all know what group he's in now ? gotta be another sick band no doubt

@@lagginswag OMG I haven't heard that name in forever! Fuck I gotta revisit them now!
oooh I really wanna know about these solo acoustic albums!
I love the Perfume quote at 2:13, such an unexpected pull
YEAH SERIOUSLY AMAZING AND SO TASTEFUL AND COMPLETELY CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD, WOOOWWW
Perfume - Polyrythm lol i felt that too
I found this song on a random ass Saturday morning and I'm so glad I did. Bravo.
Damn this has everything. Boomer bends, dad rock solo, prog odd time signature bridge, a jazz ritardo, a fucking sexy sax solo. And all that glorious Covet goodness as well. Fantastic.
sorry if this is a stupid question, but what's jazz ritardo? i've never heard that before
@@punkbjork that's what they called me in college

Sounds exactly like Polyrhythm by Perfume, check it out!
i want what the drummers having, dudes all smiles in every vid
3 years!!! From my universe, Thank you so much for this😢
Adding sax to almost any song adds so much flavor I hope they have more!
Sax is life
I think it's an electric violin
@@ChandlerTV100idk if I'm being biased because I've been playing 🎷 for awhile now but it definitely sounds like a tenor or maybe alto.
I love the smiles on their faces.
Criminally under rated.
WOOOW THE PERFUM QUOTE IN THIS SONG IS AMAZING, WOOOW
Right!? I was so shocked to hear it! But it's so well executed and woven into the fabric of the track, just awesome!
I love this song so much. But you can feel this sadness of a chapter being closed and a new one opening. Knowing that this is their last music video together, makes this song have a tragic feel to to it. But I will support them all! So talented
Wow.. This is definitely one the best tunes Yvette has ever written. That Sax compliments the song so well. 3:04 onwards is crazy...
Giving me some Clevergirl vibes through that section til the end.
Ahhhh that note at 3:04 tears through my soul. The guitar wailing brings out some dee emotions
I'm glad their are so many people here :") I missed this band 😫 good to know I'm not alone !
THE GOOSEBUMPS I got from listening to THIS!!! Added to playlist!
SO GOOD!!! ❤
The riff is such a bop in this and then the Sax hits, goosebumps.... what an phenomenal tune
Proud to have this great song in Rock Band 4.
Suddenly I feel a warmness throughout my being.. the Love Spell seems to be taking hold ❤

I feel like I can love again when I hear this. No hyperbole.
Please, triple crown records. Can you thank Covet for me for bringing light to my day with this new album when I thought there'd be no light!

can’t wait to teach myself this song, this melody is so fun i’ve been singing it all day since it’s came out 😭
We're in a timeline when Yvette Young, Tim Henson, Ichika Nito and Dylan Mattheisen all exist at the time.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Love these riffs so much!❤
YOOOO THE RIFF!!!
This is unbelievably good.
love the progression of sound and arrangement. Looking forward to the show in Asheville. Respect
Another beautiful track Yvette. All hail Forrest. His good vibes will always be a part of Covet.

So Vivid, I only hit my joint once this whole video. big ole boppy riff throwback nice
She's super chic! 🥰Yvette and co, the new lineup and album, digging it more and more. It's a relatively easy and definitely rewarding listen.
