I was a newbie in Toronto ,still am but it was just 3 months here in town .I was looking for gigs around and found out Chon were playing at the Mod theatre.Surprisingly Covet band started the show.I went alone there cause had no friends ,knew nobody ,still was one of the best nights of my life. Didn’t feel a slightest presence of being alone.Love from a Nepali fan :)
Although this album is amazing from start to finish, Here's a tracklist! 0:00 - Pelagic 3:17 - Nautilus 7:13 - Hydra 11:53 - Charybdis 14:55 - Currents 18:19 - Seadragon
Recently found them randomly through spotify and quickly became a fav band, despite listening to metalcore and deathcore, I truly enjoy their style, keep up the great work guys!
Kipp Sappier I am not taking anything away from this. super talented musicians but I saw them live a few nights ago and after a few songs it gets pretty old because it all sounds alike with that said listening to the music at home is a whole different experience
I was at that show as well and they killed it. I never listened to them until that night and I was instantly hooked. I can see how some would think the songs sound similar, but honestly I wouldn't complain if they played the same song for an entire set , they are that good lol
These peeps just played last night at The Ritz in Warren MI at the pizza show. First time seeing them or hearing them and holy shit was I blown away. I am an immediate fan. As a matter of fact, if I was a record scout I would have signed them on the spot. They deserve a lot more exposure.
So glad to see such a colorful pallet of emotions conveyed through musical notes. It's like I go blind and just see rainbows. Wish me luck getting people I know to appreciate this..everyones a lyric-head or needs some mindless music video to accompany what they're hearing. Rough conversation to have reminding people that the lyrics / vocals really don't matter as much if the foundation isn't already grounded there for them.
the random algorithm of youtube brough me here. This is so relaxing. Everything is not perfect in my life nowadays but now I'm just good, peacefull and calm. And I think this music has a big reponsability for that. Thanx
Ever since I saw you guys play the pizza show at the ritz in michigan I haven't been able to stop listening to this album. You guys are incredible, cannot wait for another album. Keep it up guys!
i discovered this band at a polyphia concert with my ex- it was one of our best days. we've tried so many times to make it work since we've never been happy with anyone else and it never does...this band has such a heartbreaking undertone for me
Arianna Paletta I can relate. This came out during the "golden age" of my relationship with the love of my life. It's very nostalgic despite not being that long ago, and bittersweet.
Well also this album was released in December. Kevin Parker of Tame Impala released his album also called 'currents' was released in July. So their is your answer really. Googling Currents would give you tame impala instead of covet.
@ 19RocketMan96 i don't learn about new bands by google searching album names on the off chance that i'll enjoy them. how would i even know to google currents if I've never heard of it?
I really want to hear a version of this album with just the guitar... I imagine it would be so relaxing. As a substitute I go to Yvette Young's acoustic album lol.
Record scouts that didn't get to sign them first, lyric junkies, and babies on iPads who mash the whole screen with their little hands. Three more reasons
I don't know if its basic psychology behind the fact that I heard the live version of Charybdis first, but it's my overall favorite version of the song and favourite song in general. (It's listed under flytraptv sessions - covet. Omg watch Yvettes live performances, they fuckin kill me
I met these guys at a music festival in texas. They were so nice and gave me and my friends signed copies of the cds.
I hope I see them in Texas =)
I've been listening to this EP since 2016 and I still convinced it's a masterpiece from front to back.
Imagine this masterwork as your “early stuff”. God-tier musicians really are on another level

I haven't found a new math rock group in months. This is heavenly!
Have you given Strawberry Girls a listen?
the mathrock collective youtube channel
Yahshua Friend Floral is nothing like this. Floral makes Covet look minimalistic.
WOAHFOX try bear makes ninja, and minus the bear they are both great bands
There's also Hyakkei and toe if you're still looking.
Recently found them randomly through spotify and quickly became a fav band, despite listening to metalcore and deathcore, I truly enjoy their style, keep up the great work guys!
I listen to this every day
Kipp Sappier I am not taking anything away from this. super talented musicians but I saw them live a few nights ago and after a few songs it gets pretty old because it all sounds alike with that said listening to the music at home is a whole different experience
Totally disagree. Saw them tonight in Philly and they were phenomenal.
I was at that show as well and they killed it. I never listened to them until that night and I was instantly hooked. I can see how some would think the songs sound similar, but honestly I wouldn't complain if they played the same song for an entire set , they are that good lol
different strokes for different folks :)
Yvette Young really knows what she's doing when it comes to this stuff
yvette's guitar playing seriously slays my soul

Graceful as peaceful... These tracks are touch my soul.
this is amazing stuff, thanks for letting your fans preview the entire album on yt before deciding to buy!
now that the ep's out, you're officially my favourite band
Its like 1980s King Crimson went on a submarine ride 😍

It's a river flowing and shining with inspiration and warming your heart in every compass.

Songs sound so much sadder

Amazing album!!! when do you make a second one?
Glad I picked this. It’s like a more dramatic version of Floral, but not Floral.
Amazing
Hermoso, genial, arte!
This only has 31,000 views? Something is really wrong with the world. This proves it.
Sleepy no it means they're not popular. Not everybody is into math rock.

@@19RocketMan96 Your explanation is sweet… but as wrong as your spelling.
i heard you on fb today. one of your random livestream sessions. You sound amazing. Love the music. I'll definitely be listening to all your stuff
AWESOME!!!!!!!
greattt!!
I really want to hear a version of this album with just the guitar... I imagine it would be so relaxing. As a substitute I go to Yvette Young's acoustic album lol.
Old guy here, stodgy and in the way. This music IS cool!
Místico y mágico
Great album
awesommeeee
En donde estuviste toda mi vida!?
Ame su música
Oh Man. The title tune should honestly be the continuation to the ending of Siberian Breaks by MGMT. A perfect landing on a renewed Earth from space.
Love
Can I buy a physical copy of this? Is it avaiable anywhere?
go see them live.
I live in Europe, I'll have to wait years for them to come here (if they ever will)
Yeah that sucks.
+Okabe San They actually toured Europe a few months ago...
My band played with them in march. ;)
fantastico.
How is possible that this video has dislikes?
people hear the music, cry, then accidentally misclick the dislike button. That is the only possible way i think.
Record scouts that didn't get to sign them first, lyric junkies, and babies on iPads who mash the whole screen with their little hands.
Three more reasons
I ❤ Covert! :)
This is really great. Do you guys think you'll ever put it out as a CD?
Me gustaron Nautilus (3:17), Hydra (7:13)
This is #aweosme
I don't know if its basic psychology behind the fact that I heard the live version of Charybdis first, but it's my overall favorite version of the song and favourite song in general. (It's listed under flytraptv sessions - covet. Omg watch Yvettes live performances, they fuckin kill me
Hydra reminds me so much of Scale the Summit
Finally

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Esto es math rock del bueno!
Reminds me of Six gallery
MrCrow05 Six Gallery was a great band.
+Steven Thomas some of the members are active on FB and me and quite a few other people have been pestering them about creating more music
Love you Yvette! :-)
