Jacques-François Gallay (1795-1864) was a prominent french horn player and composer, writing numerous Etudes, Preludes and Chamber works for the horn in addition to a popular method book. His first 12 Duos Concertans (Op. 1) were published in or around 1820 and were followed immediately by another second set of 12.
The original edition contained many errors in notation, wrong notes, and missing articulations and dynamic markings, all of which have been corrected in this new publication. In addition, both duet parts are now printed on the same pages, which makes it much easier to rehearse and perform together.
The PDF download contains all twelve of the duets in Op. 1. If you would like the parts printed separately, each duet is also available to purchase individually, and those downloads include both the 'duo' part and single parts.
