The bells are actually just decorations, the sounds are coming from loud PA speakers in the tower being operated by a control panel. is it a Schulmerich carillon system?

Sanfransisco clock tower which is on the ferry building.
in which in the ferry building they don't use real bells, they use speakers
Ferry Building has a BRG Carillon, this tower at UNCW had Verdin Clocks and a Verdin Electronic Carillon.

No it's a Verdin, the system is a Alpha II Solid State Carillon.
this is a nice clock but i would rather have real bells but I can see why they chose fake bells. its a lot cheaper and more simple

They are okay but I prefer real bells
