A Canister filter Marineland 220 has a flow of 220gph. I use 2 power heads on the bottom of my tank flow rate 295 going to top of tank into containers, gentle return , easy to clean not noisy.DIY
Very nice setups and goldfish! I plan to re-setup my 110g tank in a couple months. ( currently on the road for the summer ) I am planning to use a thin layer of black sand. That said, I like that layer of algae on the bottom. It is very nice looking and functional. Im guessing a little nitrate help. Is it hard to get it to look that nice. Do you need to do anything special ? I have a fairly powerful light . My last setup was bare bottom, but scrubbed weekly. I also changed water a lot as I had Discus.
That's awesome, I find the best way to start off an algae carpet is to put a rock or similar into an outdoor tank and let the green algae grow in the sun. Then transfer this into your aquarium and use a good daylight spectrum light to help continue growing it into your tank. Once you have some established in your tank you can remove the rock.
Unfortunately you can't to my knowledge. Only aerobic bacteria will survive in this environment. You will need very slow flowing water or very dense media like biohome to create areas for this bacteria to survive and break down nitrates. Thanks
Hello, I have been studying the possibility of getting a fluval fx4 for my 90 gallon aquarium, but I have read that every twelve hours they make a sound when is ridding itself of air, is that a loud sound from your perspective? I ask this because I am sensitive to loud noises, and I have the aquarium in my bedroom, what do you think about this and about the filter?. Also where did you get that air stone system you have on the goldfish aquarium, I would love to ge it for my aquariums, and I can't find it anywhere.
Hey, normally when they purge the air they just shut off and then turn back on, I've delt with lots of these filters and not heard them make any loud noises, just a bit if a hum. The air stones in the Ryukin tank are from eheim, hope that helps 😊
Great video and lucky to have a couple of Adam’s Ranchu in my tank
Awesome!
Great pond, gorgeous fish thank you
こんにちは、動画を拝見いたしました。大きい池で育てるのはランチュウにとって幸せなことですね。

Great Ranchu keeper. Get him to do a Video of dos and donts. Would be great help. I can't seem to keep Goldfish for shit 😪
I have two new videos from him coming up in the next 2 weeks but I will add that to the list. Good idea 😄
what is the exact size of the acquarium
please can you explain how you get anaerobic bacteria in such a oxygen rich high water flow environment?
