    can you make a video on the pros and cons of working in a shop vs your garage or basement. I am an upcoming 16 y/o barber and i would like to start cutting people during the summer.

    • @LoneWolff217
      @LoneWolff217 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Well one big pro for cutting in your garage is you take home all the money and don't have to pay booth rent.

      @@LoneWolff217 that is tru , but i have only like 4 clients and if i work at a shop i would get more clients , im a begginer barber btw but working from ma own place interests me way more than at a shop its just hard to get clients

    Much love from Australia. This video has given me great confidence in getting out there to start barbering. I’m much mature in age compared to most so this career change is daunting. Keep up the good work and videos my bro 🙏🏽

    With all do respect Dre, I don’t know what it’s like in Ohio but for what you provide as far as services, you should be charging more than $30-$35. Just my opinion. I see a lot of TH-cam barbers are charging $50-$100 a cut and from what I’ve seen, you’re in that top class of barbers too!! Pray on it and get yours bro!! Stay blessed!!

    • @fadedbylarry
      @fadedbylarry 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That could be true bro! However, barbers sometimes lower their prices to get more clientele compared to someone who charges $100. That $100 barber may have less clients than someone who charges $30-35. It's better to keep your prices lower than the competition. If you can cut just as well as they can at a lower price you'll gain way more clientele in the long run. Also the client is probably more likely to tip you well too!

    • @davidf.3916
      @davidf.3916 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fadedbylarry I didn’t think of it that way. Good point. You want them to continue coming back, hence growing your clientele. I get it.
