I have a question about how to find accommodation if you are planning to move to Canada with your husband like an international student. If you can share some information I'll be thankful, best regards.

    Mam, how much money we can take with us while coming from India to Canada?
    And please ma'am also tell us where should we keep this money in check in luggage or in carry on bag??
    Can we take pen drives ,headphones along with us and how to pack Steel products like utensils or iron products.

    • @AlishaDsouza
      @AlishaDsouza  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Pooja Hi :)
      -It’s safer to carry $1000. I recommend keeping it in your carry on bag because it’s safer.
      -You can bring pen drives and headphones with you from India to Canada.
      -I didn’t put any special packing on the utensils from India. I just put it in my bag.

    Hey Alisha, how are you!?
    Was wondering if it makes sense to do a post graduate diploma in marketing since I’ve already done a bachelors degree in BMS (marketing). Are the PGDs mostly designed for students from outside the field or a higher level of studies? College websites say the former but a counsellor told me the latter. He also said you won’t get admission into a PGD in computer science since it’s a completely different field.
    Thanks for your help! And try posting more often!

    • @ryan.shirazi
      @ryan.shirazi 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, what documents do you require for a PGD application? The counsellor told me you just need soft copies of10th, 12th, bachelors marksheets (not transcripts), passing certificate, IELTS, passport front and last page and my Resume. That’s it? Kind of surprising.

    • @AlishaDsouza
      @AlishaDsouza  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It does make sense to do a PDD in marketing. Firstly, to get your work permit approved, you have to pick a course that’s within your field and secondly, if marketing is something you wanna pursue its good to have on field experience that college usually gives you and you’ll build networks with people within the industry.
      If computer science is something you want to do - Jump in and take the chance :)

    • @AlishaDsouza
      @AlishaDsouza  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s right! They are more concerned about your IELTS.

    • @ryan.shirazi
      @ryan.shirazi 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your quick response!
      That’s great if I can further study marketing itself! Now I got another question actually! Douglas offers a choice to do two, 1 year PDDs in different fields to
      Complete 2 years of studies which makes us eligible for a 2 year work permit. The programs will be around 16-20 months combined so will be work permit be the same duration or a full 24 months? Your single PDD was around 16 months too right, so did you get a full 36 months work permit or lesser?
      Really appreciate your help Alisha, sorry for bothering you so much!

    • @AlishaDsouza
      @AlishaDsouza  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got a 3 year work permit. I’m not sure if these rules have changed though.
