Saturnine Chalice might be my favorite adventure of the one shots thus far. It really seems like an excellent, creepy adventure! Well done all!

Great adventure! Dmed it for my group and they have come up with an idea of drawing symbols on the walls instead of carrying items with them =)

I love the idea of Edouard just sending people to their deaths repeatedly like it'll eventually make the monster full or something XD

I've got a question about the "contested" or opposed POW Rolls they're discussing at 1A:45:42. The COC 7th Keepers Book, pg 243, first column under "Opposed POW Rolls" states "Both sides make a POW roll and compare their levels of success, with the higher one being the victor." Isn't this the very thing they're discussing, and aren't they doing it correctly? If not why? Can you please clarify? I'm trying to understand this new version. Thank you for your help.

We misremembered the rule as "If both sides roll the same level of success, who ever rolled the higher number on the dice wins," so Jackson was suggesting Art spends just enough luck to scrape into the Extreme Success threshold and have the best chance of winning a tie.
The actual rule, as you referenced on p. 243, is "if both sides roll the same level of success, who ever has the higher POW score wins." So if there had been a tie, it would have come down to whoever had the higher POW, Rose or her opponent.
      Hope that helps!

I like this version v much….others have done it with a lot more chatter and distraction, it’s hard to follow the story. Kudos to the Keeper!

Around 1hr.15 Jackson/Jacob is talking about the Malachaie (sp?) - I believe thats Arabic for Angels

I believe it's "Malaika" which is "angel" in Swahili
