My car is no where near that dirty but I still wish it could get a thorough cleaning like that.
I just watched Mad Mike from Sweet Project Cars use a half of a lemon and a steam cleaner to get rid of mold and mold stains.

Dirt also increases the mold growth specially with the moisture.

Couldn't figure out why the tune this one starts with is so evocative... til I realized it was like high school marching band brass. Made me remember those shoes and the cuffs of the band uniform pants wet from the dew on the football field on our early morning marching band practice. :-)
I’m just curious, from a detailing perspective, if you already have the carpet pulled out of the car, wouldn’t it make more sense to just pressure wash it to get all the dirt out faster? Or is there an advantage to using the extractor on the carpet over pressure washing?

That's what I do when I pressure wash carpet floor Mats
he sometimes does pressure wash them, perhaps it just depends on the severity of them

Damn son, big difference already and I'm not even a qtr of the way through. You remove the seats amd carpet every time? And how much do you charge for a detail this in depth?
Edit: Any advice on not damaging the electronics when using the steam cleaner on the interior? I imagine you have the battery disconnected, but is there anything else you do? I know I have a lot of questions but I am new to this and am trying to get enough practice on my own cars to start doing it for hire along with my repair services.

Yes, I also whould recommend to wear it every time when spraying cleaning products. The fine aerosols are harmful to your lungs aswell. It’s merely a matter of time.
