Slipping off sideways ,I am sure that this error of protocol is why the wife of the Duke of Sussex really thought that her chance of sitting on the throne was a better than 50/50 chance. She thought that the Queen had chosen her son to be her heir and therefore he ( Charles)would do the same. If they could in some way outshine the other brother ,then BINGO! It all collapsed for her when she found out her mistake and she had gone for the wrong brother .Or perhaps the wrong throne?

Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte was adopted by King Karl XIII to become Sweden's King Karl XIV Johan. The bloodline that still holds the throne too this day.
