Do you have a favorite switch panel?

Are the circuit breakers functional? I am hoping they light up or go dark to indicate open and close. Good for flying random failures.

@@rmm9676 hey, the circuit breakers are there for looks and serve no actual purpose or function. Sorry.

@@flightsimguides I sent an email to the current sellers of Sim Ignition/Switch panels asking about their adding this function. DesktopPilot responded right away and is discussing with their engineering team. Captain Bob also has a DIY design in progress with actual PopOut function. The future is super bright for sim hardware and ever greater immersion.

@@rmm9676 haha, yea, Captain Bob can make it happen.... Let me know how it goes!

Is the magneto spring loaded from BOTH to START so that you need to to hold it like in real life. If not I might as well go with a less expensive Desktop Aviator switch panel that does not feature this either unlike SimmaxIT and some other options.

Yea it’s a spring action where it starts then goes back to both. Full disclosure, that’s what broke after 3 months of use on my first one. but the new one has a ton of glue on the back side holding things together, so they may have fixed that issue. Looks amazing on the panel though.

Thanks fir your honest answer. Might have to check it out. I believe the simmaxit version is orobably better but they unfortunately insist of not using USB so you have to get a Arduino card an wire yourself, really hate that not beeing super technical 😁

@@flightsimguidesHey after that broke how was the customer service experience? Did they replace it or did you have to buy a whole new one? thx

@@JC-xr6dk they replaced it with no major issues…. Never reinstalled it though.

What is the LG panel that you refer to?

It's this one: amzn.to/41MJHuW -- in all fairness, the software install is a pain, but works well if you can persevere. The only thing that would make me put this ATF switch panel back in is if it had a gear switch on it, and I'd just map the magnetos to a stream deck or something.

Stupid question: How was dealing with these guys? They have a motorized trim wheel setup that I would love to know more about.

@@skippychurch2965 I thought they were good to work with. They keep changing their store UI so it’s fun to keep up with but purchasing and support was good. I’ve returned and exchanged two items for defects in manufacturing. Like a usb input thing broke off from the flaps switch, and the key ignition starter became unusable after using too much. They replaced both with no issues.
