I think something we as bowlers need to get away from is using terms like pin up and pin down. We should try to refer to the layout numbers, as that's probably going to be a much better descriptor of what's going on when talking about the layout and ball motion in tandem. I have the Ethos and the Perfect Mindset, and I found the Ethos to be a fantastic benchmark pearl for me. Laid it out 65×5×45, and it's stores just enough energy to be decisive with its move without being unwieldy. I can even use it on the fresh at my normal house, which is a place that has a decent amount of volume. It's probably the best ball in my arsenal right now.
It is referencing the layout of the ball -- how it was drilled (Dual Angle technique in particular). A quick search for Dual Angle layout on YT and you'll find numerous videos explaining each portion of the layout. Those would be much more informative and, possibly, less confusing than an abbreviated explanation here.
@@TH-bu4bn It's relative to his pap. If his pap is low enough, it COULD be pin down. My pap is 3/4" up, so a 40 degree val angle puts the pin right above my ring finger, with the right pin to pap length. His 5" pin to pap is closer to his middle finger, while for myself it's anywhere from my ring to my bridge, depending on val. So for me to get my ball to visually look like his, I'd have to go for something like 40×5.75×75. But yeah, could also be a typo.
Awesome channel! I am looking forward to this review. Thank you o much.
Thank you for tuning in we hope the video helped out

I didnt hear them say when they used the gb4 to compare
I have a question to ask. I wonder what is 40 x 5 x 40 for? I am trying to figure

@@dcrepitmoose thank you for the information. Now I got it
I seriously doubt the val angle is 40 since it's a pin down

Thanks for the help guys!
If your gonna knock off the polish why not just buy a solid
Personally I like leaving my balls out of box finish. I figure there's a reason the manufacturer made it that way
Hate that screeching sound. I'm autistic. I feel pain with noise like this...
Very sorry for this! We are trying to improve the quality of our audio and video moving forward. We will work on this! Thanks for the feedback!
