I am the daughter of a WW II RAF pilot/navigator, John H. Wood. Dad trained in Winnipeg, MB Canada under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. One of the last times we took my dad to the air show, he spoke about his experience flying in the Avro Lancaster bomber. Dad knew more about that plane than the guy that had flown it in from the museum in Canada. Upon finishing his tour of the plane, he had a huge crowd of people surrounding him as he talked about his time training in the Lancaster. He needed to set the record straight and that he did! Did you pick anything up for the collection ? I got a few things in the flea market area this year including a really nice all original Luftwaffe helmet
