Big up king. Love these videos. Would have been nice if you did a series where you show most (not all) steps in building a PROPER system from scratch, what you need from processors to amps etc. I think nuff people don't know the basics and would benefit from revisiting basics.
@@AcidSoundSystem I'm building my rack for a powered sound. Just got my X16 and a 19" rack mounted router. Could use guidance with a distro for an active sound.
Nice and compact. That little sound is all I would need. Not too many big places here on staten island where you would to bring out a big sound. Little man is learning fast
That's some nice stacks, two years ago I built out my rack and I didn't go through the trouble of custom making the bracket I picked up a generic bracket which had knockouts across the whole thing. and I filled all of them up. Would I do it again yeah it allowed everything to be lined up and if I needed to put something in the future and didn't use them I could've left spots filled in. Other than that every rack is different it's a matter of figuring out what works for what you want to put into it. I had the idea floating around in my head for a good 5 to 8 years adding and removing things from a B&H wishlist and slowly taking them off. Although I didn't use the included rack ears to mount my XR18, I was trying to think how I wanted to do that and pass the cables through. buy brackets with holes, put my own holes in? I ended up getting a shelf with slots in it I think it's for venting and then made some wood brackets to act as stops along the sides and back. Then I put some threaded inserts in on each side and made a square piece of wood with a slot that let me push them in and lock down on mixer over the rubber on the sides. So if I wanted to remove the mixer for something else it's two thumb screws and out after I pull all the cables of course. This allowed all the cables to come from left and right and swoop in to the front. I also built my rack with the UPS to keep the digital mixer from resetting in case there's power issues that way the power can go out and come back on and my amps can come back on but all my data communications and digital stuff can just stay on and humming away. The added benefit is I can cold start the UPS and turn the lights on! Unfortunately I didn't add enough RGB yet to make it go faster. I did one event with somebody else's system after getting everything set up the power went out I was beginning to ponder how tearing down in the dark was going to be with just a couple of flashlights when the power came back on. Heading to UPS is nice insurance you can always plug in some lamps if that happens. This was a personas mixer and one of the times we had a power blip in that location was right after soundcheck I was walking back with my iPad and this was pre-motorized faders so the power went off and back on and the mixer reset to where all the feeders were.....
Great job bro. I know it was kicking in that room 4 18's on a side. Wow!! nice. It was also good to see the young man programing the system, Pass on the knowledge to the next generation.

Big bottom 😂😂 Bless up man, looks good! I’m looking into building a sound system myself, I’m not sure what the rules are though. Do you always need 1 to 2 tops to bass? I usually see 2 mid/horn/tweeter boxes, and 4 sub boxes (scoops). Is it always like that?

Much respect but I have a question regarding your power destroy draw on the input side are you running 120 or is it 240 input ? Most dance halls have 20 amp walls right and are you running off their wall sockets or you running into their power panel at 240 Washer and dryer current ?
@@AcidSoundSystem cool 😎 ,I have another question 🤔 1st thanks for the response I appreciate it Hey the speaker cables do you make them yourself or did you purchase them from a company the 4 or 6 conduit cable how do you have that for your speaker box ? Thanks again friend. 😎
How do you run or connect the bass? Is the Aphex last connect before the amps or the drive rack. And tell me how you set the bass. I’ve been doing some research, instead of using the drive rack on the bass, what about the bbe maximized and the Aphex optimizer big bottom together for the bass. What kind of bass speakers you use.
