Gotta disagree. Living off hwy 75 is unavoidable traffic everyday. Everywhere, no exceptions. The roads have not caught up to the growing population. There is no industry in McDonough outside of warehousing or retail. And on top of that, the crime is becoming an issue in some areas. Be careful and make an informed decision.

We are a rural area. This lady is selling Henry county, not McDonough. Houses are expensive and property taxes are one of the highest in Georgia. Food also cost more here. If you cannot afford it do not move here. There are no services to help you.

Im sorry, but I grew up in Henry County, graduated from there in 2011. It seems to be TWO sides to McDonough. The parts by Jonesboro rd, etc, have gone DOWN. Shootings every day, crime nonstop, stores getting robbed, schools are horrible, etc. It has changed for the worse and will only continue to do so as they keep building WAY too fast down that way. Now, the other side of McDonough around Lake Dow, etc, is still really pleasant. Much more rural, and the difference I notice is that they're not building tons of stuff out that way. I think these factors are SO important for ppl to know, esp if you move there. It DEF DEPENDS ON WHAT SIDE OF MCDONOUGH, PPL.

Hey Shonnie, talk about all the building going on in Conyers/Covington area! I’ve counted at least 12 new subdivisions going in right now or being expanded, soon construction on route 162 Salem Rd. will begin along with the bridge expansion at Highway 138/I-20. This is an area that seems to be blowing up, but nobody talks about it. Maybe I might have to!

McDonough is in Henry County. Henry County is a commuter community. Just know that when you move here. Henry County is built to be a suburb of Atlanta. It is also on the southside. The Southside is cheap and a residential suburban area. It will never be like the northern perimeter area because the jobs down here are middle income warehouse jobs and service jobs. I love Henry county and where the area is moving too. More trails and sidewalks while keeping the areas rural.

This place is not even remotely close to being a future ATL. They are closer to being a Huntsville, AL or Hoover, Al
