    I was looking at this mower to replace my Honda but in the end I went with the Toro 21564. The 190cc engine was the determining factor for me, so far so good! It doesn't have the power as the 200cc Honda, but it's much easier to turn and drive around obstacles versus the Honda. I'm happy with my purchase 👍

      I would agree it’s nice to have the horse power to go through taller grass easier, if needed. Thanks for the input- hopefully it helps someone make a decision.

      Does it bag the clippings well, filling the bag from the back to the front without stopping to move the clippings to the rear of the bag?

      @mellowjammer 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I had the Honda HRX217 mower with all the bells and whistles, and the handling sucks if you need to makes lots of turns or work in tight areas. It is so damn long I felt like I was walking in a big half circle every time I changed direction. I also disliked the hydro speed controls and handle with multiple bails. You could pinch your hands in them quite frequently. I took it back a week later for a full refund.

    Oh I remember them when I was a kid. I bought last season a Super Recycler and I love it best push mower I ever had. I like the all black mine has the red on top. Almost go mine stolen the other day and chased the guy down and got it back. Can't turn your back for a minute. Yea that plug is a pain to get out. I also like how easy to store it. Agreed. I changed the oil after the third mowing (about 3 hours running time). Oil had a dark gray color. The engine runs a little quieter now, doesn't have a slight chirping sound it had on start up. Should have changed it after that first mowing. I'll change it again at the end of the mowing season.

    The Toro black matte super recycler from 2 years ago is worth it, this mockery of a Toro product isn't. If I could add a picture I'd show you the quality differences. Mine has the Honda engine it's running as strong as the first day I bought it. Don't let that vortex gimmick suck you in because it's a pain in the butt. I bought the most recent Toro 22 inch high wheel that has the same exact crappy wheels that are already breaking including that joke of a vortex that clogs up especially when you mulch. What's worse is that the bottom blade shroud is part plastic which imo is a safety risk. The first day I ran it the crappy cheap plastic logo bumper came off and got chewed up under my mower. I contacted Toro which they sent me a replacement with 3 cheap aluminum screws which in turn stripped out when I attempted to put that bumper back on the front deck. No wonder it came off in the first place. I just left it off because it might come off again and mess something up under the deck. Also they put a smaller gas tank on the newer Super Recycler making the gas burn less efficient meaning more refills. I can mow over 1 hr and 30 minutes on my 2 yr old Super Recycler. I'm not trying to brag but rather be upfront with people who might be on the lookout for mowers. I'd stay away from Toro because they are trying to discourage buyers away from gas mowers to push their battery operated crap. I'd still with the Honda but I would not use that deck. I've seen to many videos of blades that came off and stabbed through that deck including engines that blew and took part of the deck with it. My last Toro purchase this past week was the Timemaster 30. After that I'll likely shop around for more commercial walk behinds like one Scag makes. The only reason people keep buying the Toro is for the personal pace system and that's about it.

      I appreciate the comments, This is my brothers unit not mine so I have not used it other then the open box video. He is having some kind of oil leak issue, this is the EZ Stow version. I had suggested to him that he get the Honda over the Toro, but he wanted the Toro. He does have a pretty small lawn, probably around 1500 to 2000 Sq Ft, so he's not mowing a lot. As far as I know the unit cuts perfectly fine, other then the oil leak with Im not sure he knows where or what is leaking.
      I personally own the 2 Time Masters and run them commercially, they are great mowers and I love them! One of them is 3 years old the other is 2 years old never an issue with either one as of yet! lol - I also own several pieces of commercial Toro's, the Grandstand and Z master series 5000 both of those are pretty nice also!
      Thanks for your input its nice to get information from all sides so people can make smart decisions when they go and purchase a mower and is why I made this video. I do want to do an updated video on the few issues my brother is having with the mower.

    • @MyGreenLawn2019
      @MyGreenLawn2019  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a great question, My understanding is it provides more airflow to supercharge your grass cutting. The ultra-fine clippings created by the Recycler Mulching System provides extra nutrients to feed your lawn. You may or may not be able to physically see what's happening. This mower belongs to my brother and I know he loves it and has a great lawn! Thanks for asking

    • @mellowjammer
      @mellowjammer 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      OK, you just copied & pasted the marketing-speak mumbo jumbo straight from the Toro ad. I've seen that. It sounds like they're saying it creates some airflow that will suspend the grass clippings longer so that they can be cut finer before being dispersed in the lawn. I guess the only way to tell would be to do a test with a vortex model and a non-vortex model on the same lawn to see if one mulches the grass clippings finer to where they are less visible one way vs the other. I wonder if the vortex comes into play when bagging to chop the grass finer? Then you could just look at the clippings in the bag to compare. If you didn't have both models of mower you could just use a vortex model and try it with the vent open and then again with the vent sealed with a piece of duct tape. I would try this myself but I'd have to wait until Spring '24 as grass has stopped growing here where I live. Like I said I did this but I didn't really know what I was expecting to see (there was no "night & day" difference)...maybe next time in a better controlled experiment I will notice a difference. @@MyGreenLawn2019

    So you pay the same price as last years Model for the Super Recycler, but get a Plastic gear case, Recycler style Height Adjusters and Wheels and only 1 engine option that I've seen so far. Last years Model had a Metal Gear Case, old style Super Recycler Wheels (proven) with Grease zerks on the rear end, Not to mention Solid aluminum height adjusters and 3 engine options. Toro has really done some Cost cutting on the new Super Recycler, but still wants to charge the same price. I doubt that new Vortex gimmick does anything to improve quality of cut.
