I think the Axis armour unit cant be used in this scenario. Its just included as its on the Barborossa card. I have a house rule that i dont use that or the Axis HQ in this scenario as they are engaged off map in North Africa fighting outside Tobruk.
Hey there. Nice Videoguide🤗 What do you think about the solo playability in comparison to other Grand Strategics in WWII themed Games? I ask about the cardstuff. Greetings from Germany
@@stevendolges8372 no idea where you live but we are playing this in June at game more in Oregon. I’m currently playing my second four player game. Ima huge fan. Always learning
9:16 GE Standard Convoys may not be placed in the Black Sea Naval Zone Box. See the little Ru below the box indicating that only Russian Standard Convoys may be placed.
I'm not sure that's right. I thought the initials just indicated who was most likely to use that naval box as a guide rather than an exclusive use. I'm not an expert but was my impression.
@@rhysjohnson1224 you are correct the initials are not the reason but they indicate that only the Soviet convoy has a Home Country Port at Black Sea. Since Germany has no Home Port at Black Sea German Standard (!) convoy may not be placed.
24:55 technically you place the Russian units in the delay box at the *Russian* Final Admin Phase since it is a Russian Permanent Conditional Event. But this has no effect on the game play since you roll for delay at the very end of the game turn after all factions are played.
Such a great game I hope you enjoy it been playing since 1993. You really won’t get full effect till you play a campaign
Just the challenge of getting the units from France to the Russian front for a good Barbarossa opening feels like a game in itself.

The DOW is most likely there to counter a still neutral Poland
...or Baltics if it isn't ceded to Russia.

Corps are for movement and armies are for attacking
30:14 don't forget that you could also place replacements steps on HQs which are in a Home Country (e.g on HQ North).
Really interested to see how this goes. Just played this scenario. About to embark on full campaign
Wil be interesting see how you do this nice job. But remember corps are for movement and armies are for attacking. Imho
Good advice Mark! Thank you. We will see how it goes.

Ahhh. Thanks. Good addition to my rules knowledge
51:02 🧐 why don't you build up the third GE HQ?
