This makes more sense to me. I se many videos where they flatten the entire kanna bottom before relieving the sole. That is a lot of work to remove and flatten wood that is only going to be removed with the dai naoshi later.

I may have to get one of my older Stanley planes out, and set it up like this, and see if it makes any difference. Might be a bit more work though, mine are made of cast iron. Still it would be interesting to see. Thanks. = )
@421rants DONT DO THAT! You are ruining your plane! It has lost any value if it has any. If anything try it on one for the home centre. Dont d it to your grandfathers or a antique store plane!
You should get a kanna instead.
I wouldn't try scraping a sole of a cast iron.
It's not going to work on a push plane, the reason it works on a kanna it's because the front of the plane is long and it's the main reference point. The only points that can be relieved on a push plane is the middle between the front of the nose and in front of the blade, and a little behind the blade, but those surfaces are so small it's not going to make any difference.

もし可能であれば、教えていただきたいことがあります。趣味で木工をしているのですが、荒鉋で削った面がどうしても、撓んでしまいます。引き方が悪いのか、鉋の仕込みが悪いのか…四苦八苦しています…簡単にできるはずのことではないのは、承知しています… もしよろしければ、教えてください。

真っすぐでも問題ありません。とにかく材料の状態に応じて適宜道具を調整する必要があります。最終的にきれいに削れればどのような状態であろうと問題ありません。綺麗に削れているという結果が重要ですから。

自分は素人なんですがカンナの空かす所は何ミリ空かしますか？
後、安いカンナしか無いのですがグラインダーでカンナ台を空かすのはダメですか？
わずかにすかす程度です。数字で示すと約0.05㎜になります。♯240のサンドペーパーで削るとよいでしょう。
