I actually got stuck watching old CKY videos one night, that turned into watching jackass Viva La Bam Etc. Then any other video I saw then a day after I watch all of it the Instagram shit started and now I'm back looking for new stuff.... I really hope he pulls through and ends up okay. 💜💜💔

MOH-Hansy when you're addicted to something like heroin you need that support to kick it. If everyone just left him on his own and forgot about him, he definitely would be dead. He would've been dead years ago. Steve O would've been long dead too if the cast of jackass didn't fly to where he was get him to go to rehab thst same day.

Notice how his voice and accent are different now too...not that high pitched, kinda whiny way he would talk when they were drunk or doped.

I've seen Novak shenanigans for years. I know his story. Now seeing him sober is incredible. What an absolutely impressive individual. Keep it up Novak.

Craziest thing about Bam is its obvious he has always loved his friends, when he isn't punching them on the side of their heads , he's looking out for everyone and making sure they have sick clothes and a place to live.
It’s incredibly surreal to see Novak sober given his messed up past! Despite a relapse being part of recovery, I believe he has truly shown the world he is capable of being clean. I never realised he had a halfway decent head on his shoulders
Bam I am a fellow skateboarder and I have been watching you guys for years, im 32 now and I probably have been watching you guys since I was 18. I have been through a lot of drug use/ court cases/ drugcourt and rehab. I am so proud of you guys for getting sober, much love brother. please stay clean, we all love you guys.

Nice bro, keep it up. I had a 5 year opiate addiction, somehow made it out alive, you know the deal. Running my own business now, with my family doing good everyday. It hit me a few weeks ago when my doctor of all people said he wanted to invest in my company. Told some friends and one of em also said the same. Wasn't long ago they wouldn't give me $5 or let me in their house, now this. Crazy. Keep it up, be happy!!

I'd imagine Novak TRULY is... As in NOT on OST. I am and I acknowledge that being on Methadone is VERY far from sober. Honestly I think heroin isn't vaguely as bad as Methadone is... I reckon Novak is snert enough to know that.
Once a heroin addict always one actually as it's a physical addiction..I've have close family friends who are ex users and they have to take methadone for the rest.of their lives
@@Green-ys3wo no They don't have to.... they choose to. I'm an ex heroin addict. I haven't used in a long time and I don't take methadone or suboxone or any substance. I have become very spiritual and have a higher power that I have a close relationship with and have a group of supportive people that are also former active users and a therapist to make sure I keep in check and don't fall off the wagon and use again.

Trouble is, addicts always want to be special, so in some fucked up way, their friends getting sober makes it harder for them to go the same route.
@@zootsoot2006 some addicts see it as an eye opener tho. They see oh wow everyone's doing shit with their lives and they made it out, I can do this too.

I remember seeing and being really touched by the mini-documentary about Brandon Novak in the special features of the Haggard DVD like 15 years ago. Both Ryan Dunn and Bam were the best friends a guy like Brandon could get, and it was sad to see the struggle going on behind-the-scenes of the CKY and Jackass movies. It's really good to see both Bam and Brandon doing what they're doing these days. Will always miss the "random hero" Ryan Dunn, RIP.

Fact is after ryan passed away bam just abused him for starlight. Even tho bam has paid for his rehab its disgusting to go back and see him use novak as a physical punching bag on camera. You can bet ryan would be fucking disgusted how hes been treated.

There was a vice documentary on him. I think it was Vice. He basically stop being an alcoholic and replaced alcohol with skateboarding and because of that he has became a much happier and healthier version of himself. I have followed Jackass & CKY since pretty much day one. The first days of file sharing!! I have to say Brandon Novak looks awesome!! He's been really hardcore into Heroin for a very long time. I have never seen him look so healthy and positive!! Puts a smile on my face. :)

No doubt he partied but there is also no doubt he's now addicted & it's consuming him.
Your life must be pretty privileged & sweet if you genuinely think people don't lose their sanity when they lose not just a loved one but someone you see on a daily basis, your best friend.
Show a little respect & compassion for something you clearly haven't endured or experienced because the mind is an incredible thing, it has the potential to consume you whether you let it or not.
All it takes is one day, one catastrophic event in your timeline & your entire world will change for the worse.
It could be you in a week.
So fucking happy to see Novak clean and sober.... these two are the best.

That's one thing that I always really liked about Bam, he kept it real and stayed in his hometown of good old W.C. instead of going all Hollywood and shit..I grew up in Downingtown which is only about 8 miles from W.C. so it was cool being able to run into them every now and again I remember one time I sat 2 seats in front of Bam at an Eagles game and didnt even know it till my buddy pointed him out, he definitely put that area on the map!!!

Wow Novak is looking a lot better. It much more obvious to me now that he was absolutely smashed on a lot of his TV appearances. I LIVED off of Viva La Bam as a kid, and its still one of my favourite shows to this day. CKY, Jackass, all the first of its time, along with Dudesons. So glad to see these two happy and well.

Today is my 2nd year of sobriety. If you have an underlying condition like depression, though, I must warn that the rewards you feel might not be the same as other addicts who quit. Your life and efficacy may improve but depression may rob you of any sense of joy from it. I'm telling you this just in case you're dual diagnosis like me and feel confused as to why all the other recovering addicts seem to be feeling better while you're still experiencing anxiety, anger, irritability, boredom, sadness, sense of doom, thoughts of suicide, fatigue, memory loss, paranoia, etc. We're dual diagnosis our trajectory is different. Progress might not be accompanied by any sense of relief or accomplishment.
Congratulations Novak you really show the world you can make a happy person sober i wish this to because drugs destroyed my life i am a drug abuser here in Brazil the most dangerous drug is crack but i have addiction on cocaine i lost everything my family my job my girlfriend to this man i wish i can make to sobriety to man i try again for you thank you to show me this i try again thank you so much for this video because i see you is another person now 👏👏👏
