Stills sure knew how to pick the players! All consummate musicians who worked extremely well together and drove each other with a love and intensity for what they were doing that I've really never ever seen before. I think the Manassas album showed four completely different sides of Stephen Stills and I love every one of them! Think about it folks this is a guy who on his first solo album at Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix and by the way it was the only time that Hendrickson Clapton appeared on the Same album together. Stills I believe is one of the most underrated musicians on the planet! Here's to you Steven lonely you live long may you run...
It has taken many decades to find a lead vocal/guitar player that I enjoy as much as Stephen Stills. I've found that finally in Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke. An amazing "new" band that's been around 20 years.
Cool - seeing Crosby with Steve's Gretsch White Falcon ! Seen other Manassas videos with Hillman's White Falcon finish sanded off ! Love these guys !!!
This concert was a bit of a disappointment for me. Stills seemed to be loaded on alcohol. His singing was so far off, but he could still play like the master that he has always been. Maybe there was some coke added on too, lol. Don’t get me wrong, he is one of the greatest musicians that ever was, in my opinion anyway. I’m a diehard fan. Every other concert of his that I went to over many years were all amazing and spot on!

Seen them in ‘73 and seen Stephen with some members of Manassas at Tanglewood in ‘75. Lawn seats were 3.50 bring your cooler and weed.
