Milford Junction (South Milford. Yorks) on 22nd October 1993
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of the very active Milford Junction near to Selby and Ferrybridge in South Yorkshire. Lots of traffic was seen feeding the hungry power stations in the area such as Ferrybridge, Selby and others scattered around. Sadly most if not all have closed or converted to other means of fuel other than coal. These trains were mainly class 58 hauled or 56. The occasional class 37 and 47 were also captured on this visit. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

Great video as always. Can I just ask - is that an old station platform you're standing on?
It was probably South Milford station.....Many thanks and best regards.....Mark
Superb! back in the day when we had proper freights on the 'real' railway not todays facsimile i.e. wood chippings from America!
Very true Andrew...many thanks and best regards...Mark
Isn't this the weekend Grimethorpe saw its last load of coal leave?
Do not know that Duncan, someone will know though....many thanks as always....Mark
I was at Church Fenton for two years in the mid 80's and never went there. What was wrong with me????? I did get there in August 2006 with not a class 58 in sight sadly!!😪
It certainly was a mecca for class 58 enthusiasts....sadly yes the place is just about dead....many thanks for watching...Mark
