these are things the community wants to hear about. what actually going on in the leagues, on the teams, and the drama. you and soup are up to something two different types of videos that are absolutely needed.
The fact that the scoreboard and buzzer system breaks at every tournament I'm at is beyond absurd. It is 2023 we have the technology to have these things work every time.
I was around back in 2009/2010 when the Msxl was forming and reffed and played many of those events. I came back to the sport for the 2023 season and was blown away by how far that event has come. The reffing, the organizers, the fields, and equipment were all top notch (minus the chronographs). They really have done some great work over there.
@paintballnerd He definitely has a different perspective. I run a print company and help businesses market their products and services. So I'm curious about why they do some things but more so why they don't do a lot of other things.
I think offering 2 options for Gosports would help, do a pay per view option per event or a monthly with all the extras, it would get more eyes on individual events because it’s less of a commitment, and would increase subscribers because there would more of a value to hardcore fans.
Many years ago when I first started playing paintball after a few months they had Push playing on a tv in the trailer where you paid. Once I saw that I knew I wanted to do it.
I for one would love to play 15v15 with pumps and 12 grams in the woods! The real woods! I love the "classic" format but would love to go even more classic ;)
Zyzek I should have said hello at Cup. I was talking with Rodricks Mom at center line on Saturday. Watched you film a small piece for the Media...than watched my team Damage lose to Revo.
When I think of major sports that have large consumables, which I believe is where Tom was trying to go, why would we compare paintball to MLB, NFL, or MLS. The only major sport I can think of that has I ton of consumables like paintball is motor sports. Gas, tires, oil, etc. I don’t know anything about what they go through to run their sports but it may be worth a look as an example.
people don't watch paintball because its boring to watch... it needs to be more interesting... use the glow in the dark HK paint and make the games at night so people can see what's going on
The only way paintball is going to grow is get outside sponsors, this will allow free broadcast of events, and increases prize money. Until the powers that be can accept this it will always be a minor sport. And before people complain about kids in it with alcohol sponsors, football, baseball soccer etc. all have them.
these last three interviews are going to be a turning point. Interviews are going to get way more views now

Much appreciated!

Media guy of the year. Win or lose, I've won. +305k TH-cam subs on the year so far. 💪💪💪
I agree!
💪💪💪
Great interview! Always enjoy seeing people pick Tom’s brain about paintball
Great interview. Tom Cole has a grasp on paintball for sure. Thanks for putting it all out there.
Thanks for your support!

Paintball is growing slowly and surely
biggest nxl event ever? great work tom and team. love to hear what’s really going on. looking forward to the post produced freemium games.
Great job! I have so many questions for Tom from a marketing standpoint. I hope to see him in a bar or a boardroom someday.
It’s always interesting to hear things from his perspective because he encounters challenges and solves problems a lot of us aren’t even aware of.

@@1stPlacePrintingand the answer is MONEY vs ROI

Smart
This was my exact thought. If there was an event every month then monthly make sense. I would pay more per event than a monthly option.
Tom Cole gets a lot of heat but this interview has aged well especially with the release of the espn feature news. 👏
Agreed

Push was that for me too

Good old origin paintball league

Come say hello next time!
Hell yeah been waiting on this one all day

He did mention racing as a comparable
@@paintballnerd I missed that. Thank you!
No bounce shots on hyperball. Hyperball bunkers don’t give if you slam into them. 😂
It’s not the same!
1 player shoots 10 cases an hour? That seems excessive. Can someone confirm this?
Yeah he dazzled me with math and I didn’t have a calculator
Yeah no shot. Maybe if your just sitting there shooting for a hour lol.
21:04 i think, mabey its mostly the same teams. Plus/misuse some local teams...mabey
Perhaps
Make the ICPL finals on hyperball please & thank you.
THANK YOU

That’s the ticket right there
I guess I'm a robot.

Paintball had outside sponsors and lost them. Now we have goose island and Landry logistics. We have some recovery and progress.
Do the world cup in vegas
🤔
World Cup belongs in Orlando, too much history there
