Ella has always been incredibly smart... people just keep underestimating her, because of her cute and quirky personality... and because she seems so innocent, the rest of them keeps her out of the loop, to "protect" her when, in reality, she truly believes in and accepts all the celestial stuff!
I like that Ella is figuring things out on her own. After all the things she has seen, plus being friends with the Angel of Death, I can see how she would be open to believing Lucifer is the Devil and all the signs she thinks she has discovered.
Lauren German's acting in this episode is sooo good...obviously Tom Ellis is amazing but Lauren has been right up there with him ( especially in these Netflix seasons) Always love to hear your theories guys!!

The only issue I have with the Ella story here is that I don't think she'd be able to hold it in this long, knowing what she knows or even just thinking what she knows. She's not someone who holds back her emotions. I think she would have blurted something out by now, confronting them and demanding to know the truth. (Though, of course, Lucifer would remind her that he's told her who he is all along, lol.) Plus they already did the "figuring out stuff" board in a previous episode with that fantastic episode involving Linda's ex-husband. So it feels a little bit already done. I do wish they'd chosen a different way to show Ella the truth. (Though giving the frog -- toad? -- Dan's name is pretty funny, and I do like the idea of raining frogs or other omens showing things aren't quite right ever since God retired.)

Time-travel is so much worse than people realize... If you go back...AT ALL...for even a split second...then every single life that was originally conceived after your target arrival moment, ceases to exist, forever. Others will be born in their place, the total population of the new future wouldn't change all that much, but those specific individuals are all gone, and cannot ever be restored. All the quantum events that eventually scale up into the structure and the laws of nature that we experience, get completely reset when you go back. They all become completely indeterminate again. And the exact combinations of events that lead to specific sperm fertilizing specific eggs at specific moments...all of that is now a whole new set of dice rolls...and they will not ever produce the same result again. The farther you go back, the more lifeforms you erase. Go back ten years...every child 10 or under of that future, just stops existing forever. You just wiped them out of existence. Then imagine going back 20 years, 30 years...and so on. By the time you hit even 50 years into the past...you're erasing BILLIONS of people on Earth from reality, forever. Just by going back at all...not even doing anything. Popping into the past for even a fraction of a second, even in the middle of interstellar space where there isn't even a dust speck to interact with...completely resets the ENTIRE UNIVERSE like that. Yeah...the entire universe. Time-travel doesn't just affect Earth...if you change time, you change it across the entire cosmos. And the people are just one example. That split-second visit to the past would affect all quantum events, so while most large-scale events would remain largely the same (like orbital mechanics and such), most people's everyday choices and experiences would quickly and significantly diverge from their original establishment, and after a matter of weeks, most details of people's lives would be completely different, even if most of the major points are still accurate. But as time goes on, those divergences get bigger. And as I said, it would be impossible to ever restore any of the original future. You can't go back and set things right, because going back will just create another reset and divergence, no matter what you do. You can't go to the future you traveled from because it doesn't exist, so you can't stop yourself from going back. Thankfully, you can't create paradoxes, because once you leave your future, you aren't PART of that future. When it goes "poof" it doesn't matter to you, because your relative frame of reference is now another time, not that one. There's no "shockwave" that feeds back and erases you or anything. There's only ever one "time" at a time. There's only now, and when you travel to the past, all you're doing is rewinding existence to that particular arrangement of particles and energy. You're not really "going" anywhere, or anywhen. You're just preserving your state of existence while rewinding and recording over the rest of the video tape.
