I love how diverse the group is! All their faces are beautiful. Ariel/Halle’s face is more stylized (her sisters’ look more realistic) but I actually do love her face. I think they captured her beauty and doe eyed appearance with some exaggeration while still maintaining a likeness. It’s a very delicate balance!
I remembered this channel randomly at 4 am last night while i was cutting up a clothing piece and sewing a bunch of random things on it. I am 21 years old now and I used to watch this channel religiously as a 11-14 yr old. I would attempt following the tutorials except i would hot glue everything together AND my mom would constantly complain that i wiped my dolls makeup with acetone only to repaint them hideously 🫣 I was basically raised by this woman and I blame her for my craftiness and style (and my hoarding tendencies haha). but im so glad that I found it again these videos genuinely feel like home to me ❤️❤️

I am forever in awe of you and your videos. The amount of work you put into these is astounding. Even your regular videos have such high production quality and I can only imagine how much time and effort that takes. Then when you start crafting I am blown away again every single tome. Your creativity and execution are both astounding. I’m a wedding & event designer and florist by trade, so I understand the time and labor that goes into production, but I have two small children right now so I have little to no time for my own doll hobby. Thank you for giving me a chance to live vicariously through you and enjoy your creations. Some TH-cam videos I enjoy having on in the background, but yours I always give my full attention because of how dense and beautiful they are. I look forward to sharing your content with my children when they are older and hopefully creating crafts together with them inspired by your spectacular work.
One could even get extra fancy and incorporate the wave doll stand permanently into the top of the water on the play set. This is SUPER cool, and I’m really happy to see the mermaid sisters reviewed. I was on the fence about this pack (I also wish they had arm articulation, and don’t really like the printed fabric tails), but seeing how beautiful they are IRL has convinced me. If you ever want to do a video about giving some kind of Glo up to the fabric tails I’d be very interested lol.

I've been tryin HARD to resist getting this pack so soon - trying to be patient about it - but I really want it, especially after reading the prequel book 'against the tide' that features the sisters and their relationship quite a bit. The craft also turned out beautifully.

I live the 7 pack! The sisters are all beautiful and so diverse! All children can now have a pretty Mermaid to relate to. Blue their designs are so so cute. The did great with their different fin and tail designs. I love it💕💕💕💕

I also like the joint in the tail so they can bend, I would have liked to see that in the individually sold dolls too. Plus arm articulation. Your craft came out really well too, it's amazing how you can take some box cutouts and some well placed props and make such a beautiful scene!

I saw a video of another collector that was changing the arms for articulated ones for these mermaids. She was also putting them in hot water to soften. If you try it then you'll have the articulation you want. Hugs
LOVE these dolls. They are beautiful. I have so many dolls but I may need to purchase these too. I love the back drop. It’s beautiful! I used Barbie looks #7 for a head swap for the on land doll. Not a perfect match but not bad. She is on sale for $15.

I haven't verified yet, but I think each of the sisters is supposed to be a reference to one of the sea or ocean. The one I'm especially thinking about is her sister Caspia, like the Caspian sea. Edit, I quickly searched tamika and indira's signification, those names doesn't look like they're linked to a sea or the marine world. Maybe they just wanted some culturally acurate names for representations of seas or continents ? I would have loved an effort to find some sea related names in several languages :p
FYI...clear silicone works really well for the water texture. If you put gloves on and dip your fingers into isopropyl alcohol, it will keep your fingers from sticking to it.

Can’t wait to start celebrating but since my doll/anime merch/everything else budget is going to be tight this year I’m going to be drawing mermaids from every fandom I enjoy, I’m a bad at drawing but it’s always so fun to do! Toya I just saw the Disney Ariel doll I think her face paint would be more suitable with the sister's, its an option I think. Also on your beautiful stand with the soft fin Ariel you could just use a clear stand behind her for support 😊😊😊

I have SO many original Ariel dolls; original, original but metallic I believe, on land pink dress Ariel, wedding dress Ariel. There were sets with Sebastian or Flounder. The only sister, unfortunately, found around here was Arista; probably because she was featured in one of the TV series episodes. And she was a special edition, not the movie/series style. Then they eventually came out with “fashion packs” so you could get different dresses and especially tails. Someone MIGHT have been Little Mermaid obsessed in the 80s. 😏 We would’ve LOVED made to move dolls. The first like that was in the 90s and she was a skater with large (nice) flat feet.
