Hey guys! Happy Caturday! That was so scary what happened to Hamptons bus! Can you get an AirTag for his backpack? So glad the problem was resolved! Looks like you guys had Camela for your lunch date! I love their iced coffee! I got the iced Americano this morning. So good! The part on the lid wouldn’t stay open though. Luckily I was still able to drink it. There’s a really good restaurant by the location I go to(Parkland is close to me but I wanted to avoid lox road) called Lazy Dog in uptown Boca!
Local district has a new app for parents called StopFinder. Shortage of bus drivers & last year pick up & drop off times were all over the place. Parents complained & were flooding the schools and transportation dept. with calls asking where the buses were. The app tracks bus stops, has attendance that shows child is on the bus and has the option to contact transportation.
So what parents in Germany do is write the kids name, adress and parents phone numbers on a card in the school bag. That way if a child gets lost people can look at that information and call the parents or bring the child home. Maybe do a card for him as well. That way if he would get lost he could hand that card with the information to the person who found him. Also possibly add an airtag to his bag, so you can track him. Just in case. That helps in those scenarios. I am so glad that he is okey 🥰

My son rode the bus for little bit in elementary until they left him at the school twice and then wants to come somewhere else this is when he was on the regular bus when he went to special education for a couple of years he was on a bus that picked him brought up in our driveway
I have seen stories of kids being dropped off at the wrong spot. The drivers had the wrong drop off spots so the school had to update the maps of where kids are dropped off
God this makes my teacher heart sick and my auntie heart sick. I have a nephew who has Apraxia and I’m a teacher and this terrifies me. Y’all are amazing parents, highly recommend a gizmo watch or air tag for his backpack for your own peace of mind!! ❤

Look up news about JCPS and our bus issues, we had school cancelled after the first day for almost two weeks for kids getting home at 10pm from the bus, parents didn’t know where there kids were for more than 5 hours after school. It was crazy, waking up to find out after day 1 school was closed for the rest of the week and eventually canceled for another full week, but we are back now and all is getting better.
I’m guessing this school district doesn’t have bus tracking apps for parents YET but will now(soon). So glad he made it home!!! Wonder what happened????????????
My cousin who has Autism has a tracker bracelet that i think has a GPS in it & it will alert you or the police of where he is, you should definitely look into one!!! Just a thought.

I went through that on the second day of school it was almost 5 pm and they get out of school at 315pm and I literally had to call my mom to stay at the bus stop while I go to the school and the bus came and found out that my daughter had a tantrum my daughter is autistic as well but now we haven’t had issues since that day I’m glad he came home safely

My niece also has a piece of paper with her name, date of birth parents names, phone number and address. She carries it everywhere she goes. We all told her that in the event where she gets lost and can’t find us to show that piece of paper and that the person can reach one of us.

I was on tiktok a few hours ago and this happened to a lady and her son and hers bfs daughter the bus driver didnt check the backpack on where to drop them off so he dropped them off at the wrong stop and the kidd were going to doors waiting for someone to answer and one of the guys had a ring doorbell on his way back from work and the kid said can you help me find my mommy and my heart broke

Hi just a quick suggestion for you and Daniel why don’t you get Hampton a bracelet that he can wear with your phone number and his name and your guys name and where he lives that way so if something were to ever actually happen to him then the person that has Hampton could get ahold of you or your husband

Since Hampton is nonverbal(cant communicate well) on his back pack straps write ur guys phone numbers on the inner part of the straps and tell him that if he gets lost or off the wrong stop to find an adult and show them the number my son is in kindergarten now and rides a bus hea on a bus as for 40 mins everyday and I worried so thats what I did for him and told him what to do
