I went back to this video a second time just to hear your talk about overcoming your disease. I am a healthy old man of 77. You are a great motivation to anyone, no matter what their health status is. Thank you so much for sharing your determination. Wishing you only the best always.
Oh Wow, how nice to hear that a recumbent trike helped you out so much. I just ride recumbent trikes for fun and transport. Saying hi from a small country in Europe, called the Netherlands/ Holland.
Thanks for the video! I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and after falling a few times while riding my electric bike I recently purchased a Catrike which I’m currently waiting for…I can’t wait to get it so I can back out there!
Keep riding. Our best way to delay Progression is to exercise! Get out there and ride! Make sure you have your "Parkinson's Hospitalization Kit" from the National Parkinson's Foundation. A whole bunch of good tips. I had Deep Brain Stimulation in 2016, which made a massive difference for me.
Just discovered your channel looking for any and all info on recumbant trikes. Yep, im gonna get one very soon. I also have MS! I never let it get me down or have pity parties....
I'm so glad you found us. Welcome new friend. Get a recumbent trike, it's so good for MS. I feel like when I'm riding it, I still get to explore the world despite having MS.
@@adventureswithdisabilities I stopped riding about 20 years ago because of balance issues and MS. And, it also prevented me long hikes. I never thought about riding again until I discovered trikes two weeks ago.
Great Advice. Don't give up! A friend of mine does the "I will never Quit." I have a Catrike Dumont, ICE Sprint, and a WAW Velomobile. Getting in and out of a Velo is a challenge, but open roads, and it moves! Life with Parkinson's, I need to keep moving!
Hey I have RRMS and I am trying out a recumbent next weekend! So happy to see this. I had been riding an upright bike, had a seizure (apparently low blood pressure - who knew?) and fell off my bike. Broke my collarbone and a few ribs. So hoping if a seizure should occur again on a trike, the wipe out won’t be so bad. Ever hopeful. How do recumbents do on rolling hills? I am in Tennessee. Not thinking about riding the Natchez Trace more like farmland with gentle hills.
They offer amazing stability. I was so afraid to ride a bicycle after my MS (DX 10yrs) diagnosis. Recumbent trikes are AMAZING. They let me enjoy a hobby that I thought I'd never do again. We have a TON of hills in our town and it does great. Every direction from our house has a hill and we've made it up and down all of them. Some are steep and kind of hard to get up with my MS but, if needed I just hop off and walk it up. It's nice to be low to the ground cause I can stop and take breaks without falling off.
Huh. All the times Ive been up there, I never knew that was there. It was a real treat seeing those old farms. The drone shots were really cool, especially the one where Ang was crossing the bridge and it crossed the water with here. I love the interactions between you two. I think an important aspect of these vids is you both are showing that even with serious, deliberating illnesses, you arent allowing them to rule your lives or your relationships. You've had to adapt, but you aren't letting them beat you. Much love. And WTH was with that fish?! Eagle drop it? 2 buddys get into an argument and the fish was use as a non-lethal weapon? "Elmer, what happened to your eye?" "Cletus hit me with a catfish! I didnt do nuthin'" "You both drinkin'?" "........"
Some years ago on the Cache Valley Century we had to navigate a stretch of road where a truck from the local meat processing plant lost a load of beef livers. They were huge and really stunk in the hot sun. Had to ride between them for about half a mile. Whew!
Such a wonderful video! You are an inspiration. Where can I find more info on recumbent trikes? Like where and what trike would be best for me? I was hit by a car 3 years ago and still recovering. I would love to get back on the road in a recumbent trike. Thank you for this!
Utah Trikes go to Utahtrikes.com and they can help you customize a trike for your specific needs. Sorry you got hit by a car but, glad you're alive and not giving up!
Love you videos. So glad I found you on TH-cam. Check out Hawaiian trikes on TH-cam. We met Bob two weeks ago in Hawaii. He also produces great videos. You him and others give me lots of inspiration. As I'm working struggling to get my health back after many years of neglect. Thanks for taking the time and giving inspiration. Also love the areas you're right in very beautiful. So happy to see a miracle occurring in your life. Have a daughter with similar health problems like yours and I forward your videos to her thanks again bye-bye for now Wendell.
Thank you so much for the compliment and kind words. Getting back on track health wise can be a struggle but, you can do it. You're daughter is always welcome to follow along. We know all about health issues. Sometimes it's a fight just to stay afloat but, tell her to not give up. We wish her health and wellness!!
I don’t see, with videos about recumbent trikes, large, tall, highly visible flags. I’m concerned about that for safety. I don’t see if there’s any possible way to take the trike on a train, either Amtrak or urban. Can the trike be folded and placed in a box to go on a train as baggage?
Maybe it doesn't show it very good but, we have really tall flags on our recumbents. Yes, you can buy recumbents that our foldable. One of ours does fold down for easy storage!
You are a brave courageous woman; and you have a truly loving husband. i admire both of you. if you are biblical, Jesus Christ had 2 missions. First, to come to earth as a human, remain a perfect sinless human, unlike ADAM, then return that perfect human sacrifice to God Almighty, thus balancing the scales of JUSTICE. His SECOND mission is to return to earth with a new Kingdom Government for the purpose of making the earth a beautiful peaceful paradise as it is in heaven. Psalms 37:11/ Psalms 37:29/ DO WORRY, GOD ALMIGHTY SENT US JESUS CHRIST.
Hey, thanks for the ride folks. I'm just getting my trike on the road but I'm looking forward to riding. Don't know if you've seen it, or want it, but this fellow shows a very inexpensive way to get a canopy for your trike: th-cam.com/video/fArz2U9eIn4/w-d-xo.html
I'm currently at a rehabilitation hospital (spectrum rehabilitation hospital Grand rapids Michigan) I have a Terra trike All terrain trike.I have yet to ride because they won't let me ride. The BASTARDS! All I want to do is ride my trike that's all.But won't allow it.I need someone to help me.a lawyer if I have to I'll sue.I had stroke two years ago and my whole right side.
My goodness, I can't imagine having a stroke. That's a lot to deal with. We will send good vibes and energy your way and hope for you to get to ride your trike soon!
Right on, we've incorporated a highly plant based/low inflammation diet into our lives. We're actually going to be doing some cooking/ recipe episodes coming soon. Thanks for following along.
Don't forget to subscribe to the channel to be eligible to win a drone, or a projector. Thank you everyone for watching.

Yea on the bridge scene I had to blur some stuff. Crazy teenagers spray painted some crude stuff on the bridge. Ha.
That's the goal. Hopefully people with medical problems or illnesses will see these videos and find some hope to carry onward. 🥰
