Cheers Jeff. Do you mean by bringing the back of the drawer forward of the back of the sides? Certainly makes sense unless you need to maximise capacity.
@@mitchwoodwork Yes and yes, the sides extend back. Dovetail in the front and mortice and tenon for the back. I try and start my designs with this in mind.
Hi Scott, I usually use the Stanley no.50 or the little Luban plough from Workshop Heaven. These are smaller than the 45, and more appropriate to the scale of much of what I make.
Always a pleasure to watch you work Mitch. Some great tips in there. 👍
Cheers Mike. Seasons greetings to you and P
That is the way to make a drawer ! Great video. I use that method with my drawers but make them as close to full extension as I can.

What plow plane do you use? Do you still use your Stanley 45?

@@mitchwoodwork Thanks Mitch, I was looking at the Luban or the Veritas. I will see if I can find a Stanley 50.
Is the Stanley 50 finicky or easy to work with? I guess it depends on condition.
@@scott8351 I can't necessarily speak to how you'll find it initially, but I don't even think about it when I use it.
