Exquisite luxury of furnishings, food, and time. What a lovely trip we took with you! Thank you for doing an excellent video tour.
Some prices - Lowest cost is around USD$300 - $3500 on average for twin / single cabin. Cabin Suites are double. Grand Luxury Suite is 4 times more. The food is included along with coffee, tea, but drinks are extra. Which is good as we don't need drunk passengers. There are no showers on train. There is a well appointed bathroom - one per car, and your own personal sink in each cabin. There are routes from London or Paris or Berlin. Going to Prague, Verona, Venice. Istanbul costs $21,000!
Feedback: Show us more of toilets, sink, how beds work, bed linen service, inside each lounge, and a bit less of train stations.

I did this journey as a student on a standard train: eating baguette and cheese out of my backpack, and drinking red wine from a plastic bottle. I loved every moment of it. Chilling with other young people that was the life.

That's true, when i was young i travel through Europe with the Interrail Pass and must be 26 or younger, you have 6 Weeks Time to go through Western Europa, included West-Berlin. Through Europe from Norway through Danmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal. My dream was until March 2022 go with the longest Railway Connection in Europe with the East-West Express from Paris - Cologne - Berlin - Warzaw - Kiew - Moscow. This Train dosnt exit since March 2022. This Train Connection exist over 60 Years, until 1990 through the Communist Part of Europa. Please excuse my English.

This train STILL override all other luxurious trains available for public.
Everything on this train has a most beautiful vibes from the Royals and Aristocrats who were first and foremost designed for at that time. SO BEAUTIFUL, SO ELEGANT, SO NURSERING, SO RELAXING and MOST
IT STILL KEEP THE ORIGINAL TIME OF WHEN IT WAS MADE .

Brian Carson I for one like voice overs, I know to know what is going on, how the food tastes, what the travel vlogger thinks... a bit of history about things. If there is no talking, how in the heck do you LEARN what the trip is about? GOOD music can also add, but I agree, nothing loud or obnoxious like trancing disco or the like.... something light and classical adds so much to travel vlogs.

Such an elegant and sophisticated train and the food looked delicious, what beautiful memories for all those who experienced a glimpse back in time to the golden age of travel. One observation, it’s a a shame the dress code was not a little more befitting for such an iconic train as the staff appeared better turned out than what one could see of some of the guests. Of course each to their own but a little extra effort never goes a miss in this life. For all those who aspire to travel on the Orient Express I hope your dreams come true, and that each moment on board makes for happy memories.

    An experience of a lifetime!
My wife and I had an experience of a lifetime in mid-May of 1999 spending two weeks in Paris and the Loire River Valley with our two children, 14 month old and a ~4yr old.
My wife has since passed, this trip was up for consideration for our 25th anniversary so this video was a "what could have been" second trip of a lifetime experience!
We're Agatha Christy fans, especially the tv1 Hercule Poirot (David Suchet) episodes, so this would have been the perfect literary/tv series/gourmet/rail train/scenic/European travel.
Maybe I'll win a lottery and take my sister (we're 70 and 71 somehow).
    Anyway, wonderful video trip! Thanks

I would love to experience this one day if afforded. The craftsmanship is incredible and the service appears friendly and generous.I'm not keen on the food presentation or form,as I generally enjoy identifying my own food without a guide. I'm sure it was likely delicious and an overall pleasant holiday.Great video overall and I appreciate the lack of commentary and overlaid music.

I agree but what I think is strange is I the fact that there are no bath or showers facilities provided. Who wants to be all stinky while they're traveling in luxury like that.

@@reya346 It does seem odd. Well just bring a package of baby wipes, I guess and prepare to take a bird bath!

lebroy Why such a nice train arriving at such a RUBBISH station, it should have arrived in St Pancras, Kings Cross, Waterloo or Paddington,

    • @countertony
      @countertony 7 ปีที่แล้ว

At a guess, it may be either the original terminus for the old Orient Express or the closest feasible station to it (for some reason Charing Cross station comes to mind).

Because the London - Flokestone set does not have the correct signalling system, And also the coaches are only limited to 75 MPH (120 KPH) which would hold up the High proirity ECS and Semi - Fast.

Such a magical train. I remember seeing a few of its wagon lit carriages sitting at another platform in the Mestre station just before our Rome - Venice train left to cross the lagoon to Venice a couple of years ago. I sort of gasped at finally actually seeing it. I can’t imagine what’s it’s like to travel on. I don’t think I ever will it’s so expensive. It’s nice to watch this video to get an idea.

Claude Belanger Yes, Canada. You must take the famous "Canadian Rocky Mountaineer" Opulent Train from Vancouver, BC to Banff, Alberta. The scenery is outstanding and the service bar none. Take the Gold Leaf option or Silver leaf coach option for the finest in Canadian hospitality. Then stay at the famous Banff Springs Hotel ! Happy Trails ! Cheers !

The level of gracious service of the Simplon compared with the Pullman is quite noticeable, isn't it. Pullman isn't bad, by any stretch of the imagination. But the elegant feeling of service on the OE is just the kind that everyone should be able to experience at least once in their life! Makes you feel like royalty! 🥰 Thank you again!
